WWT Slimbridge    This morning from Robbie Garnett hide, 14 Green Sandpipers, three Little Ringed Plovers, a Ruff, a Great White Egret, two Little Egrets, seven Yellow Wagtails, five Pied Wagtails and a juvenile Grey Wagtail. Also the Black Swan. A Marsh Harrier over the Dumbles into the Top New Piece. On South Lake the Tundra Bean Goose of unknown origin, a Garganey, a Spotted Redshank, two Common Sandpipers and four Little Grebes (2 juvs). (Steve Brown/Mark Hobson). Mid afternoon a juvenile Mediterranean Gull and four Dunlins on the Rushy. The adult SPOONBILL and 11 Common Cranes on the Top New Piece and a low flyover adult Peregrine through the grounds. Saul Warth     Early morning no tide 64 Shelducks, three Grey Herons, three Little Egrets, a Buzzard, two Kestrels, a Peregrine, 100 Avocets, 63 Black-tailed Godwits, four Bar-tailed Godwits, 114 Curlews, 15 Dunlins, 26 Swallows, a House Martin, a Sand Martin, ten Mistle Thrushes, a Yellow Wagtail, a Grey Wagtail and ten Pied Wagtails. Frampton pools     4+ Spotted Flycatchers, the adult Yellow-legged Gull, a Common Gull, three Common Terns, 48 Chiffchaffs, ten Blackcaps, two Whitethroats, 10+ Reed Warblers, a Cetti’s Warbler, a Yellow Wagtail, 12 Swifts, five Tufted Ducks, 16 Mallards, a Black Swan and a Tawny Owl today. Stroud     Along the River Frome a juvenile and an adult Dipper, a Kingfisher and a Mandarin. Also a family of four Otters. 11+ Swifts near Lodgemore Mill. (Mike Davis).

Longlevens     A Ring-necked Parakeet over Church Road at 7:30pm. (Andy Jayne).

Elmore Court     In the rewilding area this afternoon, six Stonechats (2 ads, 4 juvs), three Reed Buntings, two Sedge Warblers, two Reed Warblers, five Skylarks, a Little Egret, three Green Woodpeckers, six Mistle Thrushes, four Buzzards and a Kestrel. Also good numbers of Common Blue butterflies. (Steve Pullen).
