WWT Slimbridge A WHITE-WINGED BLACK TERN flew into the Rushy at 3:45pm landed briefly but was flushed after just 1 minute and flew off. (Les Ditchburn/Peter Chapman). Earlier a Garganey and two Cattle Egrets from Robbie Garnett hide and a Spotted Redshank, a Common Sandpiper and a Garganey on the Rushy. (Warren Gill). A BITTERN from Zeiss hide today. Frampton The WHITE-WINGED BLACK TERN on the sailing lake until 8:40pm at least. Also the adult Yellow-legged Gull, three Common Terns, a Cattle Egret, five Little Egrets, a Black Swan and two Willow Warblers. (Nick Goatman et al).

Westbury-on-Severn A CASPIAN TERN, earlier in Herefordshire, on Westbury Strand at 6pm but with the rising tide steadily moving upriver, first to Garden Cliff and finally Priding until it flew South inland from Priding at 7:39pm. (Andy Jayne et al).

Saul Warth This afternoon 78 Curlews, 60 Avocets, 31 Shelducks, six Cattle Egrets distant with cows in the Noose, four Little Egrets, five Grey Herons, two Kestrels, two Buzzards, four Pied Wagtails, ten Goldfinches and a Chiffchaff. (MK).
Coombe Hill Meadows This evening ten Canada Geese flew over at dusk, five Teal, 55 Mallards, still a female with ducklings on the canal, three Grey Herons, 22 Moorhens, 21 Lapwings, a Green Sandpiper, three Skylarks, ten House Martins, five Swallows, 500 Jackdaws and 50 Carrion Crows. (Mike Smart).
