WWT Slimbridge     A CASPIAN TERN on the mudflats at Middle Point at 11:07am stayed only a few minutes before flying N inland towards Frampton. Despite extensive searches it wasn’t relocated. (Pauline R per Ian Hull). 16 Little Egrets and a Little Ringed Plover on the Rushy. A female Garganey, 13 Green Sandpipers and six Little Ringed Plovers on the Tack Piece. At Middle Point a Wheatear, a Whinchat, eight Yellow Wagtails, a Turnstone and five Common Sandpipers. A SPOONBILL still from Zeiss hide. Two Spotted Redshanks on South Lake. Saul Warth     57 Curlews, 140+ Avocets, two Oystercatchers, 20+ Dunlin, seven Bar-tailed Godwits, a Greenshank, a Redshank, 46 Shelducks, 700+ Black-headed Gulls, four Little Egrets, four Grey Herons, a Marsh Harrier, a Hobby, a Kestrel, four Pied Wagtails, a Sedge Warbler, three Chiffchaffs, a Whitethroat and two Ravens. Elmore Court     In the rewilding area this morning a Whinchat, six Stonechats, a Green Sandpiper, nine Reed Buntings, two Ravens, a Grey Heron, six Buzzards and a Tawny Owl harassed by three Jays and five Mistle Thrushes. (Steve Pullen).

Frampton pools     This evening a Hobby, an adult Yellow-legged Gull, a female Pochard, eight Little Egrets, five Common Terns, nine Tufted Duck, a Spotted Flycatcher, four Grey Herons, a Raven, nine Swifts, 63 Barnacle Geese and the Ross’s Goose. (Nick Goatman).
