WWT Slimbridge     On the Top New Piece from Zeiss hide two juvenile Curlew Sandpipers, a BITTERN and four SPOONBILLS. On the Rushy at least two Garganeys, five Knot, six Spotted Redshanks and ten Ruff. (Paul Masters/Martin Price/Slimbridge Sightings).

Saul Warth     At high tide 124 Curlews, 50 Avocets, 20 Ringed Plovers, ten Dunlins, a Curlew Sandpiper, a Knot, 30 Shelducks, 100 Teal, three Little Egrets, 17 Common Cranes off of Awre, three Buzzards, a Peregrine, two Kestrels, a Ring-necked Parakeet heard again, four Pied Wagtails, a Grey Wagtail, three Chiffchaffs, 38 Swallows, four Ravens and 25 Linnets. Sharpness     At SARA a SHAG flew north with a Cormorant at 7:30am. Also 39 Ringed Plovers, a Kingfisher, a Common Sandpiper, a Sparrowhawk, three Great Black-backed Gulls, 21 Greylags, a Grey Wagtail, a Raven, two Blackcaps, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and two Little Egrets. Berkeley shore     The GLOSSY IBIS still feeding on a flash at the Pill this morning. (Andy Jordan). This afternoon a Spotted Flycatcher, two Whinchats, four Stonechats, six Reed Buntings, six Chiffchaffs, a Willow Warbler, a Yellow Wagtail, a Buzzard and a Kestrel. (Thomas McClung). This morning at Berkeley on a WeBS count other birds included two Grey Herons, five Common Sandpipers, a Turnstone, a Curlew, an Oystercatcher, 35 Redshanks, 154 Mallards, 11 Cormorants, two Yellow Wagtails, three Wheatears, a Reed Warbler, a Cetti’s Warbler, ten Linnets, 22 Meadow Pipits, 50 Swallows, seven House Martins and ten Chiffchaffs. Coombe Hill Meadows     This afternoon three Buzzards, two Kestrels, a Raven, two Grey Herons, 20+ Swallows, 6+ House Martins, a Green Woodpecker, two Reed Buntings, 6+ Linnets, 25+ Goldfinches, four Whinchats at the Snipe Pool and a Grey Wagtail. Also Migrant Hawkers and Southern Hawkers and three Willow Emerald Damselflies. (Paul Clark).

Frampton pools     A Green Sandpiper, a Common Sandpiper, 53 Robins, 90 Chiffchaffs, two Willow Warblers, 18 Blackcaps, seven Cetti’s Warblers, 13 Little Grebes, three Great Crested Grebes, one sat on a nest, 50+ Swallows, 50+ Sand Martins, 10+ House Martins, a Grey Wagtail and a Spotted Flycatcher. Plusterwine     This evening 139 Curlews, four Yellow Wagtails, a first-winter male Wheatear and a Black-tailed Godwit from the pill. (Dan Watson).

Nailsworth     A steady trickle of hirundines flying south throughout the day, with a flock of 40+ House Martins and 30+ Swallows this evening and a Swift flying north at 6:55pm. (Terry Grant). This evening a Ring-necked Parakeet flew west over the garden in Walkley Wood. (Jon Haw).

Cheltenham     A Spotted Flycatcher in Pittville Park  trying for smaller dragonflies on the boating lake at 1pm. (Steve Money).

Winchcombe     Early morning on the garden  lawn, a female Sparrowhawk devouring a Woodpigeon for at least an hour. (Andrew & Gill Worthington).

Lydney New Grounds     On today’s WeBS count birds included a Kingfisher, 22 Mallards, c150 Black-headed Gulls, a Cormorant, a Bar-headed Goose, 12 Shelducks, a Little Egret, two Dunlins, ten Oystercatchers, 14 Canada Geese, a Curlew, two Redshank, ten Wheatears, a Meadow Pipit and c250 Goldfinches.
