Sharpness     From SARA this morning a MANX SHEARWATER flew upriver at 10:15am, presumably the same bird seen off of Middle Point and Saul Warth later, possibly 2 birds involved. Also a Goosander, two Hobbies, a Kestrel, a Red Kite, a Buzzard, 17 Shelducks, a Kingfisher and a Nuthatch. (Oliver Paisey).

WWT Slimbridge     A MANX SHEARWATER off of Middle Point. Also from Middle Point a Goosander (same as SARA bird), 200-300 Ringed Plovers and Dunlins, with at least two Bar-tailed Godwits, ten Sanderlings, a Turnstone, a Knot, a Curlew Sandpiper and a Whimbrel in the Curlew roost. (Ian Hull/Ian Ralphs/Paul Rich). An OSPREY flew S past Middle Point late morning. (Martin McGill). Five SPOONBILLS a BITTERN in flight, a Peregrine, a Garganey, nine juvenile Curlew Sandpipers at high tide, five Golden Plovers and 25 Avocets on the Top New Piece from Zeiss hide. (Jon Mercer/Ian Ralphs). A WOOD SANDPIPER, an Avocet and two Spotted Redshanks on the Rushy early morning. A Greenshank from Robbie Garnett hide. On South Lake four Knot and four Spotted Redshanks (2 ad, 2 juv). (Jon Mercer).

Saul Warth     At high tide a MANX SHEARWATER, 101 Curlews, five Ringed Plovers, a Dunlin, two Common Sandpipers, 20 Redshanks, 123 Shelducks, 100 Teal, 14 Common Cranes, a juvenile Peregrine, a male Marsh Harrier, ten Pied Wagtails, six Chiffchaffs, ten Meadow Pipits and 20 Swallows. (MK).

Cambridge     A Ring-necked Parakeet on a garden feeder in Longaston Lane early afternoon. (Mrs Goatman per Nick Goatman).

Nailsworth     430 House Martins and 30+ Swallows flew S in 20 minutes (2 short counts) this morning, despite the rain. They were harried by a hunting Hobby. At 1:10pm c150 House Martins,with an undetermined number of Sand Martins, flew through in very murky conditions. Also four Siskins. (Terry Grant).
