Saul Warth     Three GREY PHALAROPES on the top of the tide this evening in fading light. (Martin McGill). At high tide early morning 119 Curlews, three Bar-tailed Godwits, 100+ Ringed Plovers, 100+ Dunlins, four Grey Plovers, 10+ Curlew Sandpipers flying south, a winter-plumaged Sanderling, a Turnstone, a Redshank, two redhead Goosanders, 29 Shelducks, 15 Teal, a SPOONBILL, four Little Egrets, nine Grey Herons, 19 Common Cranes, a Marsh Harrier, a Grey Wagtail, a Yellow Wagtail heard, two female Blackcaps, four Chiffchaffs, a male Wheatear, a Skylark, ten Meadow Pipits, 115+ Swallows and four Ravens. Sharpness     A juvenile SHAG flew upriver past SARA at 8:20am. (Oliver Paisey).

WWT Slimbridge     A GREY PHALAROPE on the Top New Piece from Zeiss hide again today. On South Lake 261 Black-tailed Godwits, 25 Avocets, five Spotted Redshanks and 23 Ruff. (Ian Hull). The GLOSSY IBIS on the Bottom New Piece. (Oliver Paisey). From Middle Point 600+ small waders, mostly Ringed Plovers and Dunlins, also 10+ Sanderlings, 12 Golden Plovers, 2+ Curlew Sandpipers, two Turnstones, three Knots and three Bar-tailed Godwits, 43 Curlews, four SPOONBILLS and two Little Egrets. 23 Cattle Egrets on the Rushy at 3:15pm. Shepherd’s Patch    16 Cattle Egrets in the field by the pub at 4pm. (Richard Baatsen).

Sandhurst    In the Sandhurst Hill area an OSPREY flew E at 12:20pm, a juvenile Goshawk, a Sparrowhawk, two Red Kites, 16 Buzzards, a Kestrel, a Hobby, an immature Peregrine, a Little Owl, 16 Ravens, a Redstart, a Stonechat, two Spotted Flycatchers, two Grey Wagtails and 100 Goldfinches. VisMig of 100+ Swallows, 420 House Martins, 85 Meadow Pipits, a Redpoll, six Siskins and a Golden Plover. (Andy Jayne).

Coombe Hill Meadows     4+ Buzzards, a Red Kite, a Peregrine, a Raven, two Green Woodpeckers, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, 8+ House Martins, 6+ Whinchats, four Stonechats, four Reed Buntings, two Whitethroats, 6+ Willow Emerald damselflies and many Migrant Hawkers. This afternoon from the Teal hide a mixed flock of c75 Linnets and Goldfinches, five Whinchats, six Stonechats, two Whitethroats, two Chiffchaffs, a Wren, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Buzzard, a Kestrel and a Grey Heron. Awre    25 Common Cranes this morning in a field close to the river. (David Smith).

Painswick Beacon    VisMig today included two Swifts, 288 Swallows, 38 House Martins, 188 Meadow Pipits, 16 alba wagtails, nine Chaffinches, 11 Crossbills, ten Goldfinches and 11 Siskins. (John Fleming/Kevin Kingscott).

Nailsworth     At Windsoredge between 7:30 and 8:30am 250+ House Martins and 260+ Swallows passed by. Other birds of note were a Hawfinch, also flying south, and an adult Mediterranean Gull flying east. (Terry Grant).
