Saul Warth     A PALLID HARRIER flew W at 9am, 97 Curlews, 71 Avocets, a Bar-tailed Godwit, four Grey Plovers, 200+ Dunlins, 29 Shelducks, 175 Teal, five Pochards, 2nd record for the patch, first on the river, 21 Common Cranes, a Hobby, two Grey Wagtails, five Chiffchaffs, a Lesser Whitethroat, two Blackcaps, a Goldcrest, three Stonechats, 10+ Swallows, 10+ House Martins, 30 Linnets and three Reed Buntings. WWT Slimbridge     From Middle Point at least two BEARDED TITS calling in front of the Shepherd’s Hut either side of the path. A Peregrine on the mud, two Great White Egrets, a Little Egret, a Grey Plover heard, three Wheatears and two Stonechats. (Nick Baker/Steve Brown). Three BITTERNS from Zeiss hide this morning and a GLOSSY IBIS from Martin Smith hide. On the Rushy a Green Sandpiper, four Snipe and a Sparrowhawk. From Robbie Garnett/Stephen Kirk hides 60+ Wigeon. On South Lake a Grey Wagtail and a Cattle Egret. Seven Ruff from Zeiss hide. 15 Chiffchaffs near the Eider pen, a Black Swan and a female Pintail on Big Pen. Nailsworth     22 House Martins flew south at 8:57am. (Terry Grant).

Chavenage Lane area     25+ Ravens, three Red Kites, 80+ Skylarks in one field and 30+ in another. (Terry Grant).

Cheltenham     The white Sparrowhawk around Eagle Tower today and also 2+ Peregrines. (Steve Money).

Painswick    A Red Kite taking food put out for other birds from the lawn for the last month.  (Katherine Dawton).

Stonehouse     This afternoon in  the woods above Stanley Downton sewage works, c40 House Martins. Along the Stroudwater canal in the Bond’s Mill area, two male Kingfishers, Chiffchaffs, a pair of Jays, a Cormorant and a Willow Emerald damselfly, a patch tick. (Paul Sutton).
