Chavenage Lane area     An immature Goshawk, five Red Kites, two Kestrels, four Buzzards and at nearby Barton End a male Merlin sat in a tree by the side of the A46 and a flyover female Merlin at the same time, also 20+ Corn Buntings. (Terry Grant).

WWT Slimbridge     A BITTERN showed well on the island viewed from Van de Bovenkamp hide today. (Heather England/Dave Creber). A Bar-tailed Godwit roosted on the Dumbles edge over high tide and at least 34 Avocets on the river’s edge. 13 Avocets on South Lake. (Paul Masters).

Saul Warth     Early morning high tide the first Rock Pipit of the winter, 47 Curlews all flew off N, three Shelducks, 55 Lapwings flew S, three Little Egrets, ten Grey Herons, three Buzzards, six Fieldfares, a Redwing and two Reed Buntings. (MK).

Elkstone     At the play area today at least three Bramblings on the beech mast with c30 Chaffinches. (Tom Mabbett).

Gossington     A Little Owl sat on a derelict building this morning before being spooked by horse riders and flying away. (Harrison Rowsell).

Elmore Court     In the rewilding today Fieldfare, Redwing Mistle Thrush, Song Thrush, a Kestrel, two Grey Herons, a Jay and a Great Spotted Woodpecker. (Sarah Townsend). A Woodcock flushed at 11am. (Steve Pullen).
