Saul Warth Early afternoon low high tide, 40 Avocets, 57 Curlews, 12 Lapwings, seven Redshanks, a Common Sandpiper, ten Dunlins, 17 Shelducks, two Kestrels, a Buzzard, two Fieldfares and a Mistle Thrush. 34 Cattle Egrets with 30 Common Gulls at Fretherne in the field opposite the end of Hock Ditch. Coombe Hill Meadows Several thousand wildfowl this morning, mainly Teal, Pintails, Wigeon, Shovelers, Greylags, Canada Geese and a Whooper Swan. Also 80+ Fieldfares, 50+ Redwings, a Buzzard, two Blackcaps, two Bullfinches, a Goldcrest and a Chiffchaff. Hazleton A Brambling with a few Chaffinches feeding on the minor road N of the village by the belt of trees. Around the adjacent fields many birds feeding including 50+ Fieldfares, a few Redwings, 30 Red-legged Partridges and a mobile flock of 100+ Starlings. Around the area two Buzzards and c10 Red Kites.
