Fairford     A female HEN HARRIER flew SW low over the hedge by the track between Fairford and Quenington at midday upsetting the Linnets, buntings and finches. (Jonathan Stebbing).

WWT Slimbridge     A FIRECREST along the Decoy walkway today. (Warren Gill). A BITTERN flew past the Van de Bovenkamp hide this morning. (Martin Price). A Water Rail from Martin Smith hide and a Black Swan on the Rushy and another on the Tack Piece. (Terry Stevenson).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning five Mute Swans, 260 Greylags, 220 Canada Geese, an Egyptian Goose, c1500 Wigeon, 12 Gadwalls, c1500 Teal, 50 Mallards, 720+ Pintails, 40 Shovelers, three Pochards, ten Tufted Ducks, ten Coots, a Water Rail calling from the canal near the boardwalk, 50 Black-headed Gulls, ten Skylarks over, 20 Fieldfares and three Chiffchaffs. Cobney Meadows     This morning five Shelducks, 65 Lapwings, three Ruff (1m, 2f) with Lapwings and 50 Black-headed Gulls. (Mike Smart).

Ashleworth Ham     Late morning 230 Greylags, a Swan Goose, a Canada x Greylag hybrid, 100 Wigeon and 20 Mallards. (Mike Smart).

Saul Warth     Mid-morning no tide, 135 Shelducks, 121 Curlews, two Little Egrets, 19 Grey Herons, ten Cormorants, a Fieldfare, a Skylark and eight Meadow Pipits. 33 Cattle Egrets in the field at Fretherne opposite the end of Hock Ditch at midday. (MK).

Gloucester     Around Alney Island a Grey Heron, three Cormorants, a Buzzard, two Kestrels, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Treecreeper (scarce here), a Jay and 12+ Long-tailed Tits today. (Gord Avery).
