WWT Slimbridge     15 TUNDRA BEAN GEESE on the Dumbles this morning. 93 White-fronted Geese on the Estuary and 42 on the Dumbles. A Little Stint on the Tack Piece. On the Dumbles the Pink-footed Goose, of unknown origin, with the Canada Geese and the Ross’s Goose with the Barnacle Geese and nine Common Cranes. (Mike Davis/Tim Jukes). Slimbridge    Two WHOOPER SWANS with three Bewick’s Swans (including a neck-collared Bewick’s) and two Shelducks S of Shepherds Patch bridge on the far side of the canal at SO717037 at 12:30pm but viewing difficult through the hedgerow, (Paul Masters/MK).

Stroud     At Frome Banks N.R. two Dippers, a Siskin, a Yellowhammer, a Blackcap, two Song Thrushes, a Grey Wagtail, Redwings and small flocks of Goldfinches and Chaffinches. (Gerard Doran).

Framilode to Arlingham and return     This afternoon an adult Yellow-legged Gull on the river near Framilode church, an adult Great Black-backed Gull, several hundred Common Gulls, 285 Lapwings, c15 Curlews, c80 Teal, a Peregrine, a Shelduck, a Raven, good numbers of Redwings and a few Fieldfares, three Skylarks, c15 Meadow Pipits, seven Reed Buntings, eight Stonechats and a Kestrel. Cotswold Water Park West     Along the Thames Severn Canal, near Cerney Wick
two Chiffchaffs. On Pit 6 a Great Crested Grebe, 24 Tufted Ducks. 22 Canada Geese, two Mute Swan and 2+ Cormorants. (John Holland).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Five Mute Swans, ten Canada Geese, 30 Greylags, an Egyptian Goose, 350 Mallards, 75 Pintails, 45 Gadwalls, 358 Shovelers, 2000 Teal, 1500 Wigeon, nine Tufted Ducks, 400 Lapwings, nine Snipe, ten Moorhens, three Water Rails, 30 Coots, three Grey Herons, a Cetti’s Warbler and a juvenile Marsh Harrier. Moreton-in-Marsh     At Draycott a garden Blackcap and an increase in Fieldfares and Redwings this week. (Sue Harrison).
