WWT Slimbridge     On the Rushy this morning 94 Bewick’s Swans, two WHOOPER SWANS and a female Mandarin. (Slimbridge Sightings). This afternoon on South Lake 65 Avocets, 35 Black-tailed Godwits, a Peregrine causing havoc and a pair of Oystercatchers and another pair on the Living Wetlands aviary roof. Along South Finger a Water Rail beside the reedbed filter pond just at the start of South Finger, a Marsh Harrier flew N and 16 White-fronted Geese from Kingfisher hide. (MK). Fosse Cross-Calmsden     Two Grey Partridges on the opposite side to the recycling centre at SP05944 08987 today. (Roger Gillespie).

Hazleton     26 BRAMBLINGS behind the usual 5-bar gate at SP 07438 18721 today. Also 14 Corn Buntings, 30+ Chaffinches, eight Linnets, 11 Skylarks, a Stonechat and a Yellowhammer. (Steve Pullen/Chris Snook).

Elmore Court      In the rewilding area 65 Snipe and two JACK SNIPE, most flushed by a loose dog, also a pair of Mute Swans, six Mallards, a Stonechat, eight Reed Buntings, 15+ Skylarks, five Meadow Pipits, three Green Woodpeckers, four Buzzards and two Kestrels. (Steve Pullen).
