WWT Slimbridge     Two WHOOPER SWANS on the Rushy, a SPOONBILL from Robbie Garnett hide, Siskins on the tree directly outside Discovery hide and two Treecreepers on the South Finger walkway. Saul Warth     At high tide the first returning Common Sandpiper, nine Curlews, eight Oystercatchers, three Common Cranes flew N, 55 Shelducks, seven Wigeon, a Sparrowhawk, a Kestrel, two Ravens, 50 Redwings, ten Fieldfares, nine Meadow Pipits, a pair of Stonechats, a Reed Bunting, a male Blackcap and 24 Little Egrets at Fretherne. Frampton pools     A male Goldeneye, 87 Tufted Ducks, 12 Shovelers, six Gadwalls, 19 Mute Swans, two Oystercatchers, eight Greylags, eight Canada Geese, 35 Cormorants, five Stonechats, 12 Reed Buntings and two Great White Egrets today. (Nick Goatman).

Chavenage Lane     Six Red Kites, and at nearby Barton End the female MERLIN sat on a wall again. (Terry Grant/Ian Hull).

Forest of Dean     On Cannop lower pond this morning three Goosanders (2m, 1f). (Peter Rodgers). Three Bullfinches (1m) and two Buzzards at New Fancy View. Two female Hawfinches, three Nuthatches, six Greenfinches, a Treecreeper and a distant Goshawk at Parkend. Two Ravens, 6+ Little Grebes, a Buzzard, a Grey Wagtail and a Cormorant at Cannop Ponds and three Goosanders at Woorgreens. (Paul Clark).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Viewed from the Apperley side/Wick Lane birds included a pair of Red Crested Pochards, c200 Wigeon, 20 Mallards, c10 Teal heard, two Mute Swans, two Buzzards, 200+ Redwings and 20 Fieldfares. (Shaun Curtis).

Tewkesbury     At Mythe Hook this morning, the whole area under deep flood, birds included four Mute Swans, 300 Greylags, 50 Canada Geese, 400 Wigeon, 11 Gadwalls, 50 Teal, 20 Mallards, 53+ Pintails, 12 Shovelers, 15 Tufted Ducks, two Cormorants, two Great White Egrets, two Grey Herons, 110 Lapwings, two Skylarks and two Pied Wagtail. Twyning     At Upham Meadow late morning, massive flooding, the Avon bank almost
entirely submerged. Viewed from the northern Summer Leasow end birds included 30 Canada Geese, 50 Wigeon, ten Mallards, a Cormorant, eight Curlews, 30 Black-headed Gulls, a Common Gull, ten Herring Gulls and three Pied Wagtails. (Mike Smart).

Highnam     Along the old Gloucester-Hereford canal this afternoon six Long-tailed Tits, two Cormorants, two Mute Swans, four Moorhens, a Song Thrush and a Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming. (John Fletcher).
