WWT Slimbridge     This morning a Goshawk flew across the Tack Piece into trees at the back. A MERLIN on the fence between the Dumbles and the Lower Dumbles at 9:15am. On the Dumbles four Sanderlings and a Little Stint. On the Rushy 89 Bewick’s Swan, two WHOOPER SWANS and a female Mandarin still. The SPOONBILL on the Tack Piece or the Rushy today. A Firecrest just outside the Rushy hide. Three Cattle Egrets and 70 Avocets on South Lake. A male Goldeneye on the Eider pen. (Roberta Goodall/Paul Clark/Terry Stevenson/Slimbridge Sightings).

Saul Warth     At high tide a Common Sandpiper, seven Curlews, four Oystercatchers, eight Shelducks, six Fieldfares, three Redwings, two Skylarks, two Meadow Pipits, two Chiffchaffs, 20+ Chaffinches and a Roe Deer. 24 Little Egrets and six Cattle Egrets in the field opposite Dunstalls Farm at 9:30am. Forest of Dean     Hawfinches at Parkend today. A Brambling with Chaffinches at Cannop Ponds. Also Goosanders there. (Merv Carlyon).

Gossington     Seven Lesser Redpolls in the garden today. (Harrison Rowsell).

Nailsworth     At least 35 Siskins, 20 Goldfinches, 20 Chaffinches, two Nuthatches, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and two Stock Doves feeding in the garden, and a Tawny Owl calling nearby. (Terry Grant).
