Newport     Belated news of a male and female BLACK REDSTART visiting a private garden since December to use the bird bath, with both birds coming on the 16th February. Possibly feeding around Actrees Farm, Heathield. (per Derek Edmondson).

WWT Slimbridge     An adult Mediterranean Gull and the hybrid/aberrant Tufted Duck on the Rushy at lunchtime. (Roberta Goodall).

Elmore Court    In the rewilding area this afternoon a Woodcock, six Teal, a Little Grebe, a Lapwing, two Snipe, two Red Kites, three Buzzards, a Green Woodpecker, six Fieldfares, a Redwing, a male Stonechat, 6+ Skylarks, 200 Starlings and a Raven. (MK).

Frampton pools     Eight Sand Martins, a Marsh Harrier, five Chiffchaffs, two Stonechats and 16 Grey Herons today. (Nick Goatman).

Cotswold Water Park West    An adult Mediterranean Gull in the roost at Pit 16 this afternoon. (Duncan Dine).

Tewkesbury     A Firecrest visiting a private garden on the Stonehills estate twice this week. (Sue Neville).

Chelt (Leigh) Meadows     Viewed from the Chelt bank this morning from the A38 down to Green Lane Bridge 12 Little Egrets, 36 Wigeon, 12 Shelducks, 30 Mallards, 40 Black-headed Gulls, two Grey Herons, five Mute Swans, two Canada Geese, a Sandpiper sp probably Green flying away, a Curlew, two Greenfinches, two Redpolls, four Chaffinches, four Reed Buntings (2m, 2f), eight Skylarks and a Pied Wagtail. Cobney Meadows     This afternoon 20 Little Egrets, three Grey Herons, 26 Mallards, two Mute Swans, ten Redwings, ten Chaffinches and two Chiffchaffs. (Shaun Curtis).

Coombe Hill Meadows    Viewed from the northern Apperley side 300 Wigeon, 100 Teal, 20 Mallards, a Pintail, 25 Tufted Ducks, a Pochard, two Coots, 1+ Curlew bubbling repeatedly from the southern side around Staplins Farm, a Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming and ten Skylarks. (Mike Smart).

Rodborough     At least five Redpolls bathing in a garden pond this morning at Little London. (Nigel Denman).
