Selsley Common     A male RING OUZEL this morning at 7:50am, beside the cattle feeding stalls near the mast. Also a female Kestrel hunting, 23 Skylarks, three Chiffchaffs and seven Linnets. (Hugh Manistre).

Sharpness     An ARCTIC SKUA flew N past SARA at 5:28pm. (Andy Jordan).

Great Barrington     An OSPREY flew W this morning. (per pagers).

Cheltenham    Two HOUSE MARTINS arrived today, and one went straight into a nest cup. (Greg Mabbett). A Little Egret fishing in the garden this morning. (Mark Dowie).

Saul Warth     Early morning, no tide. Waders mostly distant 128 Avocets, 100 Curlews, a Ringed Plover, a Redshank, 7 Oystercatchers, 25 Shelducks, a Little Egret, four Grey Herons, a Kestrel, a Skylark, a Chiffchaff and 25 Fieldfares. (MK). Also a COmmon Sandpiper. (Mike Davis).

Frampton     This morning two new Willow Warblers in, a Woodcock flushed, 250+ Sand Martins, six Swallows and two Red Kites. (Nick Goatman).

Wotton-Under-Edge     In Westridge Wood this morning, several Crossbills heard, a Siskin and several Marsh Tits around and N of ST753958. (Vic Polley).

Barnsley Warren SSSI     On the Fosse Way spur 26 Red Kites up together and more towards Fosse Hollow and the Welsh Way, four Buzzards, four Lapwings, a small flock of Stock Doves, a Corn Bunting and a Yellowhammer. (Steve Brown).

Halmore     In the woods today birds included a Bullfinch, a Redpoll, several Siskins, at least three pairs of Nuthatches, two Treecreepers, many Coal Tits, Goldcrests and Chiffchaffs, a Blackcap, a Goshawk, a Sparrowhawk, two Ravens, a male Tawny Owl calling briefly at lunchtime (for the second day) and a hunting Stoat. (Chris Newton).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Six Lapwings, three Redshanks, two Little Egrets, two Red Kites, a Buzzard, still good numbers of Shovelers and Teal and Chiffchaff song. (Ian Hull).

Witcombe Reservoirs     WeBS count today four Canada Geese, two Greylag, two Mute Swans, a male Mandarin, 88 Mallards, a Teal, 14 Tufted Ducks, ten Great Crested Grebes, nine Cormorants, six Moorhens, three Coots, ten Herring Gulls, four Lesser Black-backed Gulls, a Red Kite, ten Sand Martins, two Swallows, a Grey Wagtail, a female Blackcap and three Chiffchaffs. Nearby at Shab Hill three Stock Doves and a Raven. (Gord Avery).
