Nailsworth     A spectacular northerly movement of 3350+ hirundines, the vast majority of them House Martins, past Windsoredge between 12:05 and 12:50pm. Also a Hawfinch flew north and two Red Kites circled the valley. (Terry Grant).

Frampton     From the canal towpath at Splatt Bridge a male Marsh Harrier and two Red Kites over the foreshore, three Stonechats (1m, 2f) and eight Long-tailed Tits. On the sailing lake a Black Swan. Coombe Hill Meadows    This afternoon 3+ Buzzards, a Peregrine, a Kestrel, a Raven, 12+ Swallows, three House Martins, a female Bullfinch, two Reed Bunting, a Southern Hawker, 12+ Migrant Hawkers, 10+ Common Darters and 8+ Willow Emerald damselflies. (Paul Clark).

Lydney Harbour to Aylburton Warth     A steady trickle of Swallows moving NE, totalling 460 during the day. Also three Snipe, eight Redshanks, two Kestrels, a Peregrine, a Kingfisher, five Sand Martins, a late Willow Warbler, two Whinchats, 14 Stonechats, two Wheatears and 80 Meadow Pipits. (Andy Jayne).

Cleeve Hill     This afternoon east from the aerials past the trig point to the fence three families of Stonechats, a Whinchat, a Willow Warbler and still several Meadow Pipits. (Keith White).

Also 69 Curlews, 33 Avocets, three Redshanks, 20 Dunlins, three SPOONBILLS, two Little Egrets, 15 Common Cranes, a Hobby, a Peregrine, a Sparrowhawk, two Kestrels, a Yellow Wagtail, 12 Pied Wagtails, two Meadow Pipits, three Chiffchaffs, a male Wheatear, a Stonechat, 40 Swallows, two House Martins, two Ravens and two Reed Buntings. Elmore Court     In the rewilding area this afternoon, 4+Whinchats still with 5+ Stonechats, a Hobby, four Buzzards, two Kestrels, a Snipe, 30+ Linnets with 20+ Goldfinches, two Skylarks, eight Meadow Pipits, two Grey Herons, 15 Swallows, ten House Martins and a Nuthatch. (Steve Pullen).

Halmore     Birds this evening included a Kingfisher, three Siskins, a juvenile Bullfinch, several Chaffinches, two Greenfinches, many Goldfinches and Chiffchaffs, two Nuthatches, a Treecreeper, a Spotted Flycatcher, several Willow Warblers and Blackcaps, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers and a hunting Sparrowhawk. Saul Warth     Three GREY PHALAROPES feeding along the edge of the mud toward the Noose at 7:30am. (MK). One remained after a Peregrine pass, and at 10am two were back on the Noose with Curlews. Also this morning at high tide 98 Curlews, four Bar-tailed Godwits, 100+ Ringed Plovers, 100+ Dunlins, a Grey Plover, six Knot, 1+ Curlew Sandpiper, 34 Shelducks, a SPOONBILL, five Little Egrets, nine Grey Herons, six Cormorants, two Hobbies migrating south very high up, a Peregrine, a male Marsh Harrier, three Yellow Wagtails, 10+ Meadow Pipits, a Blackcap, seven Chiffchaffs, a male Wheatear, a Stonechat and ten Swallows. At high tide early morning 119 Curlews, three Bar-tailed Godwits, 100+ Ringed Plovers, 100+ Dunlins, four Grey Plovers, 10+ Curlew Sandpipers flying south, a winter-plumaged Sanderling, a Turnstone, a Redshank, two redhead Goosanders, 29 Shelducks, 15 Teal, a SPOONBILL, four Little Egrets, nine Grey Herons, 19 Common Cranes, a Marsh Harrier, a Grey Wagtail, a Yellow Wagtail heard, two female Blackcaps, four Chiffchaffs, a male Wheatear, a Skylark, ten Meadow Pipits, 115+ Swallows and four Ravens. Painswick Beacon    VisMig today included two Swifts, 288 Swallows, 38 House Martins, 188 Meadow Pipits, 16 alba wagtails, nine Chaffinches, 11 Crossbills, ten Goldfinches and 11 Siskins. (John Fleming/Kevin Kingscott).

Nailsworth     At Windsoredge between 7:30 and 8:30am 250+ House Martins and 260+ Swallows passed by. Other birds of note were a Hawfinch, also flying south, and an adult Mediterranean Gull flying east. (Terry Grant).
