WWT Slimbridge     A BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER on the mud shelf as the tide dropped at 2pm but it walked out of view to the left and wasn’t relocated, but could well still be on site. Also a juvenile Knot and a Garganey from Robbie Garnett hide.  (Tim Jukes). A Great White Egret, three SPOONBILLS and two very showy BITTERNS. (Ian Hull). The Tundra Bean Goose, of unknown origin, on South Lake. (Oliver Paisey). A Knot on the Rushy this afternoon. (Heather England/Martin Price). Nine SHAGS past Middle Point at 11:30am (Ian Hull) and three more past Sharpness just after. (Ian Ralphs).

Saul Warth     A RED-NECKED PHALAROPE flew in at 11:52am and landed on the river. It did a couple of spins then after 5 minutes flew to the middle of the river and was lost to view. It wasn’t relocated. Also 80 Curlews, a Greenshank heard, 17 Avocets, 20 Shelducks, a female Shoveler, 16 Little Egrets, four Common Cranes, a Peregrine, three Kestrels, a Grey Wagtail, four Pied Wagtails, a Wheatear, a Chiffchaff, seven Swallows and two Common Blues. This evening ten Cattle Egrets near the Frampton herd, two Wheatears, a Lesser Whitethroat, two Chiffchaffs, a Blackcap, two Great Black-backed Gulls, two Kestrels, two Buzzards and 60 Shelducks. Frampton     From Splatt Bridge early this morning, 12 Cattle Egrets with the cattle on the flashes then flushed by a Fox. Also two Marsh Harriers, 30+ Pied Wagtails over with a few Yellow Wagtails, two Grey Wagtails, two Willow Warblers and three Lesser Whitethroats. (Steve Pullen).

Elmore Court     A RED-THROATED PIPIT heard over the rewilding area this morning, but not seen or relocated. (Ed Drewitt/Elaine Arundel).

Sharpness     A FULMAR through N at 12:10pm. At 1:40pm three SHAGS went down with the tide but one came back up. Also a Yellow-legged Gull, two Buzzards, a Kestrel, 20+ Redshanks and a Kingfisher. (Oliver Paisey).

Nailsworth     An OSPREY flew south over Nailsworth at 8pm. (Terry Grant).

Painswick Beacon     Migration watch from 6:15am to 8:30am, fairly quiet but an OSPREY flew south at 6:35 am, then carried on down the Painswick valley. 16 Swallows and five alba wagtails were the only other migrants. (John Fleming).

Saul Warth     At high tide late morning 67 Curlews, an Avocet, 88 Shelducks, three Little Egrets, a Mediterranean Gull, three Kestrels, two Grey Wagtails, 11 Pied Wagtails, three Wheatears, a Chiffchaff and 20 Swallows. (MK).

Chavenage Lane/Barton End area     Six Kestrels, two Red Kites, seven Buzzards, a Hobby and a female Goshawk. Also a Hawfinch flying S, a Wheatear, a Redstart, a Corn Bunting, 50+ House Martins and 25+ Swallows. (Terry Grant).

Halmore     Birds included a Kestrel mobbed by Swallows, a Goshawk cruising high, two Buzzards, a Kingfisher, a Nuthatch, two Green Woodpeckers and many Spotted Flycatchers again. Also several fresh Common Blues, a Small Copper, a Red Admiral, four Peacocks, several Willow Emeralds and Ruddy Darters, and a Weasel. (Chris Newton).

Kingscote     At 5:15pm near Kingscote ten Red Kites, a Raven, a Buzzard and a Goshawk hunting. Also Common Gulls.  (Tim McGrath).

Ashleworth Ham     Two Redstarts and a Kestrel this morning. (Oliver Hague). A Constant Effort Site ringing session caught 77 birds including two Redstarts, two Sedge Warblers, six Whitethroats, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Blackcap, a Willow Warbler, two Chiffchaffs, a Kingfisher, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Stonechat, three Treecreepers and 36 Goldfinches. Halmore     In the woods at least 30 Spotted Flycatchers, adults and juveniles, hunted by a Hobby. Also a female Kingfisher, many Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps, a Willow Warbler, a Greenfinch, two Green Woodpeckers, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two Nuthatches, two Treecreepers, a calling Bullfinch and a female Whinchat on a fence. Cleeve Hill     This afternoon on the West Down side at least 12 Stonechats, two Whinchats, a Redstart, two Whitethroats and a Goshawk mobbed by two Ravens. (Tom Mabbett).

Edge     At Rudge Hill N.N.R. this afternoon two Spotted Flycatchers, three Linnets and a Buzzard. (John Fletcher).
