Three BITTERNS from Zeiss hide this afternoon. Also two GLOSSY IBISES, a Great White Egret, two Marsh Harriers, a Water Rail and seven Cattle Egrets flew towards the estuary at 4:45pm. Two Water Rails and a Kingfisher at Martin Smith hide. Three Spotted Redshanks and 25+ Snipe on the Rushy. Two Ruff and a Green Sandpiper from Robbie Garnett hide. Saul Warth     Between 7:30-10am at high tide 192 Avocets, 89 Curlews, 82 Lapwings, a Common Sandpiper, a Redshank, 77 Shelducks, 120 Teal, four Little Egrets, two Chiffchaffs, a flock of 11 Magpies, a Raven, a Mistle Thrush, a male Stonechat, a small passage of ten Skylarks, 26 Meadow Pipits and 16 Linnets. Chavenage Lane area     A Whinchat again still this afternoon with six Stonechats. Also ten Red Kites and a flock of 21 Long-tailed Tits. (Terry Grant).

Halmore    Around the woods today a Kestrel, a Buzzard, a Kingfisher, a Blackcap, a Nuthatch, two Greenfinches, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Song Thrush, eight Long-Tailed Tits, five Linnets, a flock of c25 Redwings at dusk and a male Muntjac. (Chris Newton).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning a Kestrel, a Kingfisher, a Green Woodpecker, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Fieldfare, 20+ Redwings, 50+ mixed flock of Linnets and Goldfinches, 32 Canada Geese over, 6+ Skylarks, three Meadow Pipits, two Reed Buntings, 6+ Long-tailed Tits and 4+ male Willow Emerald damselflies. (Paul Clark). Five Redwings in Tewkesbury this morning. (Les Ditchburn).

Newnham-on-Severn     A Firecrest and two Swallows along the river this morning. (Dan Watson).

Dudbridge     Four Swallows over heading SE at 12:30pm. (Steve Pullen).

Stonehouse to Ebley     Along the Stroudwater Canal this morning five Cormorants and a Kingfisher at Ebley wharf. A Little Grebe at Ryeford double lock and a Jay. A Cetti’s Warbler between Skew bridge and Wycliffe old boat house. A Sparrowhawk over Upper Mills bridge. A Kingfisher along the canal between St Cyr’s to the Ocean and a Cormorant at the Ocean. Around the Ocean area late afternoon a Kingfisher, a Buzzard and a Kestrel. (Paul Sutton).

WWT Slimbridge     A GREAT SKUA flew down the Severn, seen from Zeiss hide at 9:30am. The TEMMINCK’S STINT still on the Rushy today. From Zeiss hide two GLOSSY IBISES, a BITTERN and a Curlew Sandpiper. (Martin McGill). Two Water Rails showing well from Martin Smith today. (Nigel Young).

Saul Warth      At 7:30 high tide, a Dark-bellied Brent Goose floated up on the tide, 185+ Avocets still all swimming, four Curlews, six Grey Plovers, 157 Lapwings, 56 Shelducks, 118 Teal, a Great White Egret, a Little Egret, a Red Kite, a Sparrowhawk, a Fieldfare and 12 Meadow Pipits. (MK).

Tewkesbury     Two GLOSSY IBISES flew south over Ripple Pits (Worcs) south lake at 4:20pm and continued high south towards Tewkesbury. (Andy Warr).

Gloucester     A Red Kite this morning at 8:40am over the house and Llantony Weir moving in a northerly direction. (Gord Avery).

Cleeve Hill    Between 9:40-11:15am birds included  12 Stonechats, 60 Fieldfares, 15 Redwings, a Crossbill over. 15 Meadow Pipits, 12 Linnets, eight Yellowhammers, two Corn Buntings, 15 Goldfinches, 25 Skylarks and a Red Kite. (Tom Mabbett).

Frampton pools     40+ Cattle Egrets came into roost, also a Great White Egret 12 Little Egrets, 140 Wigeon, 96 Mallards, 55 Tufted Ducks, 47 Cormorants, 52 Shovelers, 37 Teal, 39 Gadwalls, five Pochards, a Green Sandpiper, five Chiffchaffs, 30+ Siskins, 200+ Linnets. 20+ Greenfinches, 50+ Goldfinches and three Grey Wagtails. (Nick Goatman). At least 255 Fieldfares NW through Splatt Bridge this morning, also a Rock Pipit N and Ring-necked Parakeet high S. (Gordon Hodgson).

Hawling-Guiting Power area     On a circular walk from Hawling N towards Ford and back via Guiting Power, including in fields N of Hawling birds included c200 Golden Plovers, c500 Linnets, c100 Chaffinches, c5 Yellowhammers, four Corn Buntings, c50 Fieldfares and c20 Redwings and further N on the walk a Brambling, a Goshawk over, two Crossbills, two Meadow Pipits, four Redpolls, five Siskins and a Water Rail calling at SP083259. Forest of Dean     At Woorgreens a Brambling, Redpolls, Siskins, a Skylark, a Goldcrest, a Chaffinch, a Raven, a Goshawk and a Buzzard. (Jeff Wheeler).

Frampton     This evening four Cattle Egrets, ten Little Egrets, four Great White Egrets, seven Grey Herons and 55 Cormorants roosted at Court Lake. Also a Green Sandpiper, five Little Grebes, 41 Pochards, two Ravens and three Chiffchaffs. (Nick Goatman).

Longney Crib     Mid afternoon male and female Stonechat, two Grey Herons, two Little Egrets, a Cormorant, six Pied Wagtails, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two Ravens, 200+ Black-headed Gulls and 25+ Carrion Crows. (John Fletcher).

Cheltenham     The last few days three Mandarins (2m, 1f) on the pump room lake at Pittville Park. Also a resident Cormorant, a Grey Heron and three Grey Wagtails covering both lakes. (Alan McIlquham).
