Broadoak     Three Ring-necked Parakeets in Hawkins Lane again at midday. (Mark Dowie).

Winchcombe     From the road bridge over the River Isbourne at Riverside, an adult Grey Wagtail seen feeding a fledged juvenile. (Peter Rodgers). In the garden today, 12+ Long-tailed Tits, a Greenfinch and Goldfinches. Also numerous Large and Small White butterflies and a Gatekeeper. (Gill Worthington).

Bishops Cleeve     For the 8th year running Green Woodpeckers have been successful rearing young, with two juveniles this year. (Alan McIlquham).

Barnsley Warren SSSI     On the Welsh Way spur, three Redstarts (3m, 1f) seen and others heard, two male Yellowhammers, two Whitethroats, a Bullfinch, two Green Woodpeckers, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and 4/5 Stock Doves. A minimum of 6 each of Red Kites and Buzzards very vocal in the air together. Also a Fox. (Steve Brown).

Hinchwick     This afternoon, near Hinchwick two Spotted Flycatchers on the edge of a conifer plantation at SP12553070 and a QUAIL calling from a nearby field at SP12003033 and at least two Corn Buntings in the hedgerow around the same field. (Martine & Pete Fenn).

A female Goshawk being harassed by corvids on the Tack Piece and the Severn Ground hedges. On the Top New Piece two Spotted Redshanks, seven Little Ringed Plovers and two Garganeys. Ashleworth Ham     A Constant Effort Site ringing session this morning caught 85 birds including six Redstarts (4 juvs), four Sedge Warblers (2 juvs), 24 Whitethroats (19 juvs), six juvenile Lesser Whitethroats, six juvenile Blackcaps, seven Chiffchaffs (6 juvs), a Willow Warbler, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers and six Reed Buntings (4 juvs). On the reserve 20 Mallards and a Grey Heron. (Mervyn Greening/Mike Smart).

Frampton    Around the church this morning, families of five Great Spotted Woodpeckers, four Mistle Thrushes, four Pied Wagtails, six Goldcrests and four Stock Doves. Also three Curlews over and 11 Swifts screaming overhead. (Steve Pullen).
