Maisemore     This afternoon birds included two Kingfishers, four Sand Martins, two Swallows, 19 Mallards, four Moorhens, a Cormorant, two Chiffchaffs, three Blackcaps, a Song Thrush, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two Grey Herons, a Little Egret, two Canada Geese and six Mute Swans. (John Fletcher).

WWT Slimbridge     The male WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT showing on and off in the reedbeds at Middle Point from the Shepherds Hut today. Also 101 Ringed Plovers, six Grey Plovers, six Dunlins, three Curlews and eight  Sanderlings on the mudflats. Two SPOONBILLS on the Top New Piece. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Cleeve Hill     East of the trig point a male Stonechat, a Raven and a Willow Warbler. At the dew pond a Whitethroat and a Broad-bodied Chaser. In the masts butterfly reserve a singing Song Thrush and a Willow Warbler. Butterflies included Marsh Fritillary, Small Blue, Small Heath and Common Blue. Also Six-spot Burnet, Common Heath and Chimney Sweeper moths. (Keith White).

WWT Slimbridge      The male WHITE-SPOTTED BLUETHROAT showing on and off in the reedbeds at Middle Point from the Shepherds Hut today. Also the SHORT-EARED OWL again today. (Mike Davis). Also from Middle Point a Turnstone, seven Grey Plovers and 20 Sanderlings. (Paul Rich).

Forest of Dean     Early morning in the Woorgreens/Crabtree Hill area four Wood Warblers, eight Spotted Flycatchers, three Lesser Redpolls and a Firecrest (Nigel Sluman). Also a Willow Warbler and a Garden Warbler. At Nagshead a Garden Warbler heard at the the Nursery Pond. At the Lower hide this afternoon a pair of Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Jay, a Spotted Flycatcher, a male Redstart and a pair of Grey Wagtails. (Andy & Sue Gibbons).

Halmore     In the woods at least six Spotted Flycatchers, a pair of Bullfinches, two Nuthatches, two Willow Warblers, many Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs, two Green Woodpeckers, several Whitethroats in the hedges, a Sparrowhawk over high, a distant Cuckoo, and late this evening a Hobby flew S across Slimbridge Lane and a Tawny Owl calling. In Halmore Lane a Red Kite over high, at least six Swallows and four House Martins and garden birds included three Great Spotted Woodpeckers, 14 Goldfinches and four Greenfinches. (Chris Newton).

Nailsworth     A Crossbill over Shortwood at 9:40am, flying W. (Jon Haw).

Tresham     A Spotted Flycatcher showing well this morning. (Paul Rich).

Stroud     At Fromebanks NR an adult Dipper and a juvenile this morning. Also 3+ Grey Wagtails, two male Blackcaps singing, a Song Thrush, two Swifts and a Muntjac. (Mike Davis).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning 3+ Buzzards, 3+ Cuckoos, two Great White Egrets, two Little Egrets, a Redshank, ten Lapwings including four juveniles, a Yellow Wagtail, 6+ Reed Buntings, three Sedge Warblers, a Chiffchaff, 5+ Redstarts, 6+ Lesser Whitethroats, four Whitethroats, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers and four Swallow. (Paul Clark).  On the flashes Mute Swan, Greylags and a Red Kite seen. Dragonflies included Four-spotted Chaser, Broad-bodied Chaser and Black-tailed Skimmer. At the road junction at Coombe End 30 House Martins and a Swallow. (Keith White).

Minsterworth Ham     A Red Kite, a Buzzard, a Peregrine, four Curlews, five Black-headed Gulls, ten Herring Gulls and a Lesser Black-backed Gull, a Cuckoo, a Redstart, two Blackcaps, two Chiffchaffs and two Ravens. (Mike Smart & Juliet Bailey).

Rodborough Common     This morning four Chiffchaffs, two Blackcaps heard, two Swifts, two Meadow Pipits, four Skylarks, two Carrion Crows, two Jays, three Stonechat (1m, 1f, 1 juv), a Greenfinch and two Dunnocks. (Mil Petkovic).

Saul Warth     At high tide 18 Whimbrels, 15 Curlews, four Grey Plovers, five Ringed Plovers, five Oystercatchers, two Grey Herons, 54 Shelducks, including two pairs with broods of 4 and 3, a Swift, two Swallows and 10+ House Martins. Frampton     Three Hobbies between the lakes high up at 12:40pm. Five Common Terns on the sailing lake. (Nick Goatman/MK). Later on Court Lake two Hobbies, a Red Kite and a Buzzard and lots of emerging Azure Damselflies. Three more Hobbies from Splatt Bridge. (Keith Colcombe).

Naunton     A Wheatear next to the dung heaps still, a Spotted flycatcher, three Garden Warblers, five Whitethroats and seven Corn Buntings today. (Jamie Brown).

Leigh Meadows     This afternoon five Mallards, a Grey Heron, a Buzzard, a Curlew mobbing a soaring Buzzard, a Skylark, two Yellow Wagtails and Sedge Warbler, Whitethroat, Blackcap and Reed Bunting singing. (Mike Smart).

Hartpury     Two Coots, three Tufted Ducks, 35 Mallards with ten ducklings, 50 Greylags and 22 goslings, 30 Canada Geese and 12 goslings, a Red Kite, two Buzzards, a Chiffchaff, four Pied Wagtails, three Chaffinches, a Greenfinch, a Linnet, two Mute Swans and four Moorhens with two chicks. Cotswold Water Park West     At Swillbrook Lakes, a Hobby flew from Glos to Wilts, a Cuckoo, 3/4 Common Terns and two singing Lesser Whitethroats. (Steve Brown).

Roel Gate     This evening, Skylarks singing, two male Yellowhammers, a House Martin, a Buzzard and a possible Corn Bunting. (Andrew & Gill Worthington).

Ashleworth Ham     During a ringing session 22 birds caught including two Sedge Warblers, ten Whitethroats, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Chiffchaff and a Reed Bunting. On the reserve 60 Mallards, a Grey Heron, a Curlew bubbling, a Cuckoo, a Great Spotted Woodpecker with young, a Swallow, Redstarts, Sedge Warblers, Blackcaps, Whitethroats, Lesser Whitethroats, Chiffchaffs, a Willow Warbler and Reed Buntings all singing. Cotswold Water Park East    At Whelford Pools this morning a Hobby, two Buzzards, a Kestrel and three Red Crested Pochards. Also three Hairy Dragonflies and five Four-spotted Chasers. (Paul Clark).
