Elmore Court    Birds seen from the public footpath through the rewilding area this morning included two Red Kites over, two Buzzards, a Kestrel, a pair of Stonechats, 5+ singing Skylarks, nine Linnets, four Whitethroats, four Sedge Warblers, a Reed Warbler, and two Lapwings and two Little Egrets on the scrapes. Saul Warth     This afternoon ten Bar-tailed Godwits, 3/4 Whimbrels, 20 Dunlins, six Ringed Plovers, two SPOONBILLS through and at least three possibly five adult LITTLE GULLS and a Swift. Also a Marsh Harrier hunting the private grounds of the house next to Fretherne church before flying off N, a Red Kite over high, 15 Curlews, ten Oystercatchers, a Grey Wagtail, two Linnets, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Whitethroat, a Chiffchaff, a Blackcap and four Sand Martins. Ashleworth & Hasfield Hams     Between 11:30am and 2:15pm at least five singing Whitethroats in roadside hedgerows between Meerend Thicket and Stank Lane.  Along Stank Lane at least another five Whitethroats, two Lesser Whitethroats, at least two Redstarts. Also Blackcaps, Chiffchaffs and Skylarks all singing, a Buzzard and a Red Kite.  (Andy & Sue Gibbons).

Barnsley Warren     From the Welsh Way to the pump house, six Red Kites and four Buzzards up together, two pairs of Ravens, a Green Woodpecker, 6+ singing Redstarts, three Blackcaps, a Yellowhammer, a Coal Tit and a Stoat. Aylburton     From the garden this morning a Buzzard mobbed by three Carrion Crows, eight House Martins with birds having returned to nests on the house and a neighbouring house, Woodpigeons nesting, two Swallows and a male Chaffinch singing. On a walk to the River Severn and back a Red Kite, two Jays, two Moorhens, ten Shelducks, six Curlews, five Skylarks, three Linnets, a Reed Warbler and a Buzzard mobbed by a Jackdaw. (John Meadows).

Saul Warth     At high tide at midday 68 Shelducks, 60+ Bar-tailed Godwits, 13 Whimbrels, two Curlews, five Grey Plovers, ten Oystercatchers, a Redshank, a Common Sandpiper, 25 Dunlins, 11 Ringed Plovers, a Yellow Wagtail flew E, two Swallows, a House Martin, 100+ Sand Martins and a Whitethroat. This evening 83 Bar-tailed Godwits, seven Curlews, 29 Dunlins, four Grey Plovers, ten Ringed Plovers, six Oystercatchers, two Little Egrets, a Marsh Harrier, 100 Sand Martins, a House Martin and a Swallow. Tresham     Late afternoon a MERLIN and a RING OUZEL. Also two Wheatears, two Whitethroats, three Corn Buntings, two Red Kites and a Stock Dove. (Paul Rich).

The drake RING-NECKED DUCK was back on Court Lake this evening. Also today two Lesser Whitethroats, 14 Whitethroats, two Garden Warblers, a Sedge Warbler, three Reed Warblers, two Cetti’s Warbler, 57 Chiffchaffs, 45 Blackcaps, a Common Sandpiper, four Oystercatchers, 100s of Sand Martins, 10+ Swallows and a Common Crane. WWT Slimbridge     A Grasshopper Warbler reeling in the hedge/scrub below Estuary Tower this morning. A SPOONBILL and a White Wagtail on the Tack Piece. (Roberta Goodall). Frampton pools     This evening the drake RING-NECKED DUCK had relocated to the sailing lake. Around the pools two Whitethroats, a Common Sandpiper, three Reed Warblers, a Willow Warbler, 29 Chiffchaffs, 34 Blackcaps, 50+ Sand Martins, five Swallows, a House Martin, two Oystercatchers, three Mandarins, 16 Gadwalls, 46 Tufted Ducks and 21 Mallards. Guscar Rocks    Two Little Ringed Plovers this morning was unusual. Also seven Shelducks, two Oystercatchers, a Whimbrel, 85 Curlews, two Bar-tailed Godwits and a Redshank. (Andy Jayne).

Fretherne     News received this afternoon of a Hoopoe in a private garden on Monday and Tuesday, but not today. It has been searched for this afternoon but no sign in strong winds. (per Gary Thoburn).

Saul Warth     At high tide this morning in fierce SW winds 50 Shelducks, ten Curlews, six Bar-tailed Godwits, three Oystercatchers, a Common Crane, a Kestrel, 20+ Common Gulls, 20+ Sand Martins and 20+ Swallows. (MK). Also a House Martin (Nigel Young).

Maisemore     This afternoon Court Lake to the weir three Tufted Ducks (2m, 1f), 13 Mallards including five ducklings, six Moorhens, a Cormorant, three Chaffinches, two Chiffchaffs, two Swallows, two Goldfinches, a Raven and two Mute Swans. (John Fletcher).

Batsford Arboretum     Two Goldcrests and a Firecrest, a Willow Warbler, a Tree Pipit, a large flock of Goldfinches, three Red Kites, four Buzzards, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Green Woodpecker and a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker drumming.
