Naunton     A Wheatear next to the dung heaps still, a Spotted flycatcher, three Garden Warblers, five Whitethroats and seven Corn Buntings today. (Jamie Brown).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Six Mute Swans, a pair of Greylags with four goslings, 30 Mallards, a Great White Egret, a Little Egret, three Grey Herons, two Coots, a pair of Oystercatchers with two chicks, 1+ Avocet, ten Lapwings with four tiny chicks, two Redshanks, a Cuckoo and Skylark, Sedge Warbler, Whitethroats, Blackcap, Chiffchaff and Reed Bunting all singing. Leigh Meadows     This afternoon five Mallards, a Grey Heron, a Buzzard, a Curlew mobbing a soaring Buzzard, a Skylark, two Yellow Wagtails and Sedge Warbler, Whitethroat, Blackcap and Reed Bunting singing. (Mike Smart).

Hartpury     Two Coots, three Tufted Ducks, 35 Mallards with ten ducklings, 50 Greylags and 22 goslings, 30 Canada Geese and 12 goslings, a Red Kite, two Buzzards, a Chiffchaff, four Pied Wagtails, three Chaffinches, a Greenfinch, a Linnet, two Mute Swans and four Moorhens with two chicks. Cotswold Water Park West     At Swillbrook Lakes, a Hobby flew from Glos to Wilts, a Cuckoo, 3/4 Common Terns and two singing Lesser Whitethroats. (Steve Brown).

Ashleworth Ham     During a ringing session 22 birds caught including two Sedge Warblers, ten Whitethroats, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Chiffchaff and a Reed Bunting. On the reserve 60 Mallards, a Grey Heron, a Curlew bubbling, a Cuckoo, a Great Spotted Woodpecker with young, a Swallow, Redstarts, Sedge Warblers, Blackcaps, Whitethroats, Lesser Whitethroats, Chiffchaffs, a Willow Warbler and Reed Buntings all singing. Coombe Hill Meadows     This evening eight Greylags, nine Canada Geese, 20 Mallards, a Great White Egret, two Grey Herons, a pair of Oystercatchers with three chicks, an Avocet, four Lapwings, five Curlews, two Snipe calling at dusk, two Redshanks, a Lesser Black-backed Gull, a Kingfisher, a Cuckoo heard, two Skylarks, two Pied Wagtails, male and female Yellow Wagtail, four Sedge Warblers, three Chiffchaffs and a Reed Bunting. Forest of Dean     Good numbers of Garden Warblers and Willow Warblers, two Tree Pipits and a Stonechat at Crabtree Hill. Nearby at least four Firecrests, two Wood Warblers and a Redstart. At Nagshead two Pied Flycatchers and three Redstarts. (Steve Pullen).

Frampton pools     At least five MEDITERRANEAN GULLS came in with Black-headed Gulls but all flew up very high and went off  south. Also six Common Terns, a Hobby, a Red Kite, 20+ Swifts and a Common Sandpiper. (Nick Goatman).

Forest of Dean     At Crabtree Hill this morning Garden Warblers in good numbers, two Tree Pipits, a Treecreeper, two Nuthatches, two Whitethroats, two Stonechat, lots of Willow Warblers, a few Chiffchaffs and a Mistle Thrush. North of North of Crabtree Hill two Wood Warblers and a Spotted Flycatcher. (Greg Anderson).

Frampton     From Splatt Bridge early morning, a female Cuckoo calling as it flew over the canal with a male calling close by, two Redshanks, a Common Crane, six Teal and a drake Mandarin over the flashes. At the sailing lake, six Common Terns and another Cuckoo calling. (Steve Pullen).

Longney     Late afternoon five Swallows, seven Goldfinches, four Sedge Warblers, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, four Chaffinches, five Chiffchaffs, three Blackcaps, three Song Thrushes, five Mallards, a Kestrel and 17 Common Gulls. (John Fletcher).

Gloucester     Two Red Kites soaring over Abbeymead for 10 minutes, then drifted off quite high west. (Ken Hurcombe).

Ashleworth Ham     During a ringing session 40 birds caught including nine Sedge Warblers, 13 Whitethroats, two Long-tailed Tits, four Linnets and seven Reed Buntings. On the reserve a Curlew bubbling, singing Redstart, Sedge Warbler, Blackcap, Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff. Also a Roe Deer. (Mike Smart).

Frampton     From Splatt Bridge early morning, two Cuckoos calling, a Common Sandpiper on the bridge, eight Common Cranes flew from the direction of the pools towards the river and a Kingfisher on the canal. (Steve Pullen). Five Hobbies over Court Lake this morning. (Andy Chapman).

Crickley Hill     Three Tree Pipits, two Whitethroats, a Stock Dove, a Mistle Thrush, a Willow Warbler, Chiffchaffs, Blackcaps and several Early Purple-orchids. (Paul Masters).

Bentham     A Cetti’s Warbler singing from dry bramble bushes, Four Little Grebes and broods of Coots and Mallards, a Grey Heron, many Whitethroats and Blackcaps and a passing Red Kite. (Terry Fenton).
