Saul Warth     At 6:15am a Bar-tailed Godwit, four Curlews, a Whimbrel heard, three Oystercatchers, 40 Dunlins, six Ringed Plovers, a Little Egret, 41 Shelducks, a pair of Shovelers, a pair of Gadwalls, a Swallow and a Whitethroat. This evening a drake GARGANEY arrived and flew past Hock Ditch over the Severn this evening, the returned back along the shore and seemed to drop onto Splatt Flashes. (Martin McGill).

Hasfield Ham     A pair of GARGANEYS flushed in Stank Lane then circled the reserve calling. (Les Ditchburn).

Frampton     At Court Lake at 8:30am a new in Cuckoo showed well, also the Ross’s Goose, early success for Barnacle Geese with 1 gosling, three Oystercatchers, two Swallows, a Mistle Thrush chasing a Sparrowhawk and the Bar-headed x Snow Goose hybrid. (MK).

Ashleworth Ham     At an early morning ringing session birds rung included seven Sedge Warblers, four Whitethroats, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Chiffchaff, a Bullfinch and two Reed Buntings. Around the reserve a Canada Goose, 20 Mallards, a Little Egret, a Grey Heron, three Curlews, five Skylarks, a male Redstart, 5+ Sedge Warblers, 5+ Whitethroats, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Willow Warbler, two Chiffchaffs and three Reed Buntings. Elmore Court     In the rewilding area early morning, at least seven Sedge Warblers, a Reed Warbler, a Cetti’s Warbler, three Reed Buntings and a Stonechat. On the scrape four Little Egrets and two Lapwings. (Steve Pullen).

WWT Slimbridge     A WOOD SANDPIPER on the Tack Piece today, until 4:20pm at least. A Spotted Redshank on the Top New Piece this morning and a GLOSSY IBIS until 7:45am when it flew off N. (Martin McGill). A Common Tern briefly on South Lake this morning before flying off high and lost to view. (Paul Masters). Two SPOONBILLS in flight over the entrance road fields at 7:45am. On a walk to the River Severn and back a Red Kite, two Jays, two Moorhens, ten Shelducks, six Curlews, five Skylarks, three Linnets, a Reed Warbler and a Buzzard mobbed by a Jackdaw. (John Meadows).

Fretherne     News received this afternoon of a Hoopoe in a private garden on Monday and Tuesday, but not today. It has been searched for this afternoon but no sign in strong winds. (per Gary Thoburn).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This evening 11 Teal, two Avocets, a Common Sandpiper, a Lesser Black-backed Gull, two Oystercatchers, three Mute Swans, five Pied Wagtails, two Canada Geese, four Wigeon (3m, 1f), two Grey Herons, a pair of Shovelers, four Shelducks, two Great White Egrets, two Whimbrels, six Curlews, a Redshank, 12 Mallards, 12 Carrion Crow, Linnet, Sedge Warbler, Reed Bunting and Whitethroat heard, 6+ Sand Martins, 6+ House Martins and 50+ Swallows over the Long Pool.
