Bourton-on-the-Water     A Barn Owl found roosting in the nestbox built into the GWT barn/office at Greystones Farm. The box had been commandeered by breeding Jackdaws earlier in the year. (Andy Lewis).

Tewkesbury     At Lower Lode brickpits this evening at least 20 Cormorants, four Mute Swans (two adults, two cygnets), 20 Mallards, at least 12 adult Tufted Ducks, including a female with at least six ducklings, an adult Little Grebe with two full grown juveniles, a Grey Heron and five House Martins. WWT Slimbridge    From Zeiss hide a juvenile Goshawk flew through, a Red Kite circling, a juvenile Marsh Harrier, four Kestrels, three Common Cranes including a juvenile, five Black-tailed Godwits and a Spotted Redshank. Another Spotted Redshank from Hogarth hide. (Paul Clark). A juvenile Cuckoo hiding in the willows at the back of the Arctic Adventure this morning being fed by Reed Warblers. (Mike Davis).

Broadoak/Westbury Strand     This evening a Common Sandpiper, a Yellow-legged Gull, four Little Egrets, a Raven, a Hobby, 50+ Swallows, five Reed Warblers, four Yellow Wagtails and four Reed Buntings. (Andy Jayne).

Walmore Common     Six Whinchats today. (Andy Jayne).

Frampton      Along the canal and on the flashes early morning four Little Egrets, a Kestrel, a Kingfisher, four Lesser Whitethroats, a Whitethroat, three Chiffchaffs, a Willow Warbler, three Blackcaps, three Skylarks and a Reed Bunting. (MK/Gordon Hodgson).

Winchcombe     At Hayles Fruit Farm birds included 31 House Martins, five Swallows, three Green Woodpeckers, three Great Spotted Woodpeckers, three Blackcaps, two Song Thrushes, two Greenfinches, a Grey Heron, five Mallards, four Moorhens, five Buzzards, three Red Kites, two Ravens and two Tawny Owls calling after dark. Frampton     In bushes S of Saul Lodge this morning a juvenile Grasshopper Warbler, a Garden Warbler, 4+ Blackcaps and two Chiffchaffs. On the canal and flashes eight Little Egrets, a Grey Heron, three Kestrels, a Marsh Harrier, a Buzzard and a Common Tern. A Red Kite roosted at Saul Lodge in pines then flew off S. (MK). On the flashes at Splatt 6am-7am today a Peregrine Falcon, two juvenile Kestrels and a Red Kite over. Also three Reed Buntings and a Little Egret. On the canal, two Common Terns fishing and two Kingfishers. On the sailing lake a Great White Egret over and four Common Terns. (Steve Pullen). From Splatt Bridge at 8:45pm, a distant SHORT-EARED OWL and a Little Egret over. (Paul Sutton).

Gloucester    In the Port Ham area this morning a juvenile Cuckoo, a Sparrowhawk, an adult and juvenile Tawny Owl, a Kingfisher, Lesser Whitethroat and male Stonechat. (Andy Jayne).

Walmore Common     This morning at least five Whinchats, a young Redstart, a Green Woodpecker, two Kestrels, a Buzzard and a Red Kite. (David Smith).

Frampton     Along the canal this morning two Little Egrets, a Common Tern, a juvenile Kestrel, a Kingfisher, two Lesser Whitethroats, a Chiffchaff, 25+ Swallows, a Magpie Moth and Banded Demoiselles. WWT Slimbridge     From Middle Point at low tide a Bar-tailed Godwit, five Ringed Plovers, 87 Dunlins, six Sanderlings, 17 Lapwings and a return passage Wheatear. (Martin McGill).

Saul Warth     At high tide this afternoon, two Grey Herons, two Little Egrets, 80 Curlews, three Oystercatchers, 40 Shelducks, two Kestrels and two Linnets. (MK).

Dudbridge     At 10am a Marsh Harrier flew over high slowly heading E and a Red Kite soaring. (Steve Pullen).

Stinchcombe    Two Mediterranean Gulls (adult and juv) amongst a mixed gull flock feeding on the golf course this evening. Also the juvenile Cuckoo still present. (James Robinson).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Early afternoon two Buzzard and three Red Kites circling, two juvenile Bullfinches and three juvenile Redstarts along canal. A Great White Egret, three Little Egrets, 3+ Chiffchaffs, a Green Woodpecker heard and a Mallard with seven small ducklings. (Paul Clark).

Tresham     Late evening a Little Owl, five Yellow Wagtails and four Corn Buntings. (Paul Rich).

Ashleworth Ham     A ringing session this morning caught 61 birds including a Redstart, three Sedge Warblers, eight Blackcaps, nine Whitethroats, three Lesser Whitethroats, nine Chiffchaffs, seven Long-tailed Tits, a Linnet, eight Bullfinches and a Reed Bunting. On the reserve, six Greylags, a Grey Heron, ten Swallows and at least three Ravens. Tresham    Early morning a calling QUAIL, a Whinchat, five Corn Buntings, two Stock Doves, two Whitethroats, a Greenfinch and a Little Owl. (Paul Rich).

Saul Warth     34+ Avocets, 60+ Curlews, three Oystercatchers, a Little Egret, a Kestrel, a Buzzard, 14 Goldfinches, five Swallows, four Reed Warblers, two Whitethroats, two Blackcaps, two Chiffchaffs and two Goldcrests. Also an Emperor, a Black-tailed Skimmer, a Common Darter and 20+ Gatekeepers. (MK).

Frampton     A Cattle Egret still with seven Little Egrets on Splatt flashes and at least seven juvenile Kestrels between Saul Warth and Splatt this morning. (Gordon Hodgson). Quiet around the sailing lake and Marsh Lane this morning, of note 2+ juvenile Green Woodpeckers, a Lesser Whitethroat, ten Swallows, two House Martins and eight Swifts. (MK). Around the pools this evening a Spotted Flycatcher feeding a second brood of young, a Yellow Wagtail, seven juvenile Great Crested Grebes, two juvenile Green Woodpeckers, two Willow Warblers, three Common Terns, a Kingfisher, a Lesser Whitethroat, three Whitethroats, three Bullfinches, 12 Swifts, a Peregrine and 30 Starlings. Coombe Hill Meadows     14 Mute Swans, a pair of Canada Geese with three large goslings, four Teal, two Gadwalls, 20 Mallards, an unringed Great White Egret, a Little Egret, a Grey Heron, a Buzzard, five Coots, 15 Lapwings, a female Yellow Wagtail carrying food, 1+ Blackcaps singing and 1+ Whitethroats.
