Forest of Dean    In the Speculation and Sallowvallets area three Firecrests, four Wood Warblers, three Garden Warblers, two Spotted Flycatchers, a male Redstart, a Tree Pipit, a Hawfinch and two Ravens. At least ten Crossbills in flight near Harrow Hill and two Muntjacs here as well. (Andy Jayne).

Cherington     At Cherington Lake ST898985 today birds included two Grey Wagtails, two Marsh Tits, 4+ Blackcaps, five Chiffchaffs, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two Buzzards and a Grey Heron. (John Fletcher).

Symonds Yat    From Yat Rock viewpoint today the Peregrine pair and one Chick showing, also two intruding Peregrines, six Buzzards, a Goshawk, a Sparrowhawk, a Grey Heron, Ravens with juveniles, two Pied Wagtails, a Tawny Owl calling, a Chiffchaff, a Jay, a Kingfisher and Swifts, House Martins and Swallows. Also Holly Blue butterflies, a Rose Chafer, two Hornets and four Fallow Deer. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Hidcote     A returning pair of Spotted Flycatchers back at Hidcote Manor Garden today. (Stephen Grundy).

Witcombe Reservoirs    Four adult Little Grebes with lots of trilling and squabbling. Also the Little Owl was roosting in the same Ash tree near Great Witcombe. (Gord & Margaret Avery).

Naunton     Along the Windrush near Lower Harford this afternoon two pairs of Bullfinches, a Redstart heard and a Grey Heron. (Keith White).

Gloucester     At Horsebere Brook Flood Storage Lake two Mute Swans, nine Mallards including 3 females with different sized broods, four Little Egrets, a juvenile Grey Heron, six adult Coots plus two well grown young, 6+ Moorhens and a male Kestrel today. (Gord & Margaret Avery).
