Leighterton     A QUAIL calling today at 1pm in the grass field opposite Bennett’s Farm. (Vic Polley).

Berkeley     A Kingfisher flew across the Old Show Field to the Berkeley Pill by Jumpers Lane at 8:35am. (Paddy Doyle).

Shurdington     Two Red Kites flying above a tractor in a field N of the allotments at 11:30am. (Jane Mitchell).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A pair of Mute Swans with four young still, a juvenile Shelduck, ten Teal, at least 60 Mallards, a Cormorant, at least five Grey Herons, at least nine Little Egrets, 32 Lapwings, an adult Redshank, two Green Sandpipers, a juvenile Yellow Wagtail, three Whinchats, a singing Reed Warbler, Sedge Warblers active along the ditches, looked as if several broods had fledged and at least three Reed Buntings still singing. Cobney Meadows     An adult Shelduck with at least two ducklings and five Green Sandpipers today. (Mike Smart).
