Frampton     A YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER in the copse at the top end of Frampton Sailing Lake today. Also five Chiffchaffs, a Blackcap, 21 Goldcrests, a Yellow-legged Gull, two Siskins, a Green Sandpiper, two Redwings and a Water Rail. (Nick Goatman).

Forest of Dean    This morning a RING OUZEL at Crabtree Hill. (Frank Williams).

Cleeve Hill    1000+ Redwings, three RING OUZELS, Lesser Redpoll, Meadow Pipits, Skylarks and Pied Wagtails on the move, four Stonechats, a Reed Bunting, four Chiffchaffs and six Yellowhammers today. (Greg Mabbett). Pic by Greg.ring-ouzels-081016

Saul Warth     141 Curlews, six Grey Plovers, 21 Dunlins and three Ruff today. (Gordon Hodgson).

Epney     Two White fronted Geese from The Anchor Inn, a Ruff, 70+ Lapwings, a Chiffchaff, a Peregrine and a Raven this morning. (Jonathan Angliss).

Bussage     Two Siskins on the seed feeder early this morning and a Grey Heron on the roof of the house, seven Redwings, two Song Thrushes and ten Blackbirds feeding  in a Rowan near the primary school. (Michael Cook).

Toadsmoor Valley     A Raven over, two Buzzards, a Jay, 30+ finches mainly Chaffinches but including a male BRAMBLING feeding on beech mast. (Michael Cook).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Four Mute Swans, a Wigeon, 95 Teal, 18 Shovelers, three Grey Herons, a Little Egret, six Lapwings, two Snipe, two Skylarks, 15 Meadow Pipits SW, a Stonechat, a Chiffchaff calling, 20 Goldfinches and two Reed Buntings. (Les Brown/Mike Smart).
