Frampton     A GREAT GREY SHRIKE at SO7547305513 near Parks Farm today, probably last winter’s bird returning. Please keep to public footpaths. (Claire Halpin). Pic by Claire.great-grey-shrike-071116Forest of Dean    The GREAT GREY SHRIKE still at the new clearing at Russell’s Inclosure this evening SO621095 between 4:30-4:45pm before flying off high into the pine trees behind the cycle track. Frampton     The GREAT WHITE EGRET still at Court Lake at 4:30pm. Also a Little Owl in Court field. (Colin Greenfield).

Slimbridge      Three CATTLE EGRETS at 9:10am in Slimbridge village in the field immediately adjacent to the A38 roundabout, park in the car park at the Legion Shop, and not outside the school. (Rich Hearn).

Coombe Hill Meadows      On the Long Pool, two Mute Swans, ten Wigeon, 59 Teal, four Shovelers, a Snipe flushed from a ditch, eight Meadow Pipits, a female Stonechat along the towpath, 20 Fieldfares, ten Redwings and 20 Linnets. Also 301 Canada Geese, two Greylags and a Grey Heron. (Mike Smart).
