Frampton      From the tow path at Splatt Bridge between 6-7pm a female/immature Marsh Harrier, a Barn Owl, four Greenshanks and a Common Sandpiper. (Graham Lawlor).

WWT Slimbridge     Still three BLACK-WINGED STILTS on South Lake and two still at Zeiss hide today. Also a LITTLE GULL again, a Mediterranean Gull, three Greenshanks and a Cuckoo on South Lake. (Slimbridge Sightings/Scott Petrek). Four CATTLE EGRETS on the approach road, flying over South Lake and later on the Tack Piece. (Matt Scott/Morag Hughes). A Peregrine from the Holden Tower, a black summer plumage Ruff and Sedge Warblers singing from the Zeiss hide, a Spotted Redshank, nine Ruff and a drake Mandarin on South Lake and a Blackcap singing along the Holden walkway. Cotswold Water Park West    Three Nightingales singing at Pit 43 early morning, also a Cuckoo, two Sedge Warblers, a Reed Warbler, a Garden Warbler, two Cetti’s Warbler, four Willow Warbler, two Whitethroats and a Chiffchaff. (Jon Mercer). Great Barrington     A Little Owl on the thatched hut opposite Park Farm today. (Megan & Steve Brown).

Stone     A pair of Barn Owls near Stone today. (Derek Edmondson).

Edge     At Rudge Hill N.N.R. four Song Thrushes, six Chiffchaffs, a Green Woodpecker, five Meadow Pipits, two Willow Warblers, three Swallows, a Jay and a Mistle Thrush today.  (John Fletcher).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
