WWT Slimbridge    A redhead SMEW on the Rushy today. Still three BLACK-WINGED STILTS around the grounds today, also LITTLE GULL and Mediterranean Gull on South Lake and two Swifts over the grounds. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Cleeve Hill    Three RING OUZELS (2 males) at the top end of the Washpool Valley at 7:30am. (Dave Owen).

Forest of Dean     A LESSER SPOTTED WOODPECKER  opposite the Crematorium at Yew Tree Brake at 11:30am today. (Ruth & Grahame Dearing).

Saul Warth     This evening 13 Whimbrels, 17 Dunlins, a Bar-tailed Godwit, two Wheatears and a White Wagtail. (Francis Steuck). Late morning seven Whimbrels, a Curlew, six Grey Plovers, 16 Dunlins and a Wheatear. (Vic Polley).

Frampton     This evening two White Wagtails on the flashes N of Splatt Bridge. (Francis Steuck). Seven CATTLE EGRETS came in to roost at Court Lake again this evening. (Nick Goatman).

Epney     23 Whimbrels along the river at Epney mid morning. Also c12 Sand Martins. (Michael Teesdale).

Rendcomb     A pair of Grey Partridges in a corn field next to RFC Rendcomb aerodrome at 2:30pm. (Pete Grimmitt).

Ashley     12+ Skylarks, 20+ Swallows, six Blackcaps, four Buzzards, a Kestrel, three Whitethroats, six Stock Doves, six Yellowhammers, a Green Woodpecker, two male Wheatears, ten Pied and two White Wagtails feeding on plough, a Grey Heron over, two Bullfinches and two House Martins. Amberley     A male Siskin singing in the garden today. (Phil Williams).

Rodborough Common     Two Duke of Burgundy butterflies on the Common today. (Jeanette Sakel).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Mid afternoon onwards five Whitethroats, six Sedge Warblers, three Willow Warblers, a Kingfisher, five Skylarks, two Stock Doves, nine Lapwings, a Redshank, a Common Sandpiper, two Little Ringed Plovers, a Ringed Plover, five Curlews, five Swallows and 25+ Sand Martins. About The Gloster Birder

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
