Cotswold Water Park West     No sign of the LITTLE BITTERN by 6pm today. A BITTERN flew over Pit 85b twice late morning. Also an Egyptian Goose and two Kingfishers. A LITTLE BITTERN at Shorncote Reedbed yesterday (2nd) seen to fly from the reeds of Pit 85a across the water of Pit 85B at 3:55pm and then at 4:05pm it flew back across the water of Pit 85B and went into the reeds of Pit 85a on the cycle path side that is totally hidden by a large hedgerow. Cranham     The HOOPOE still on Cranham Common this morning but can be elusive at times. Please park sensibly in the village and surrounding area as parking is very limited. (Morag Hughes/Frank Bryant).

Arlington     A QUAIL calling intermittently from barley next to the public footpath at Arlington Cross SP112058 until 11am at least. (Martin Wright).

Gloucester     Two CATTLE EGRETS at Horsebere Brook Flood Storage Lake this evening, a patch tick. (Martin Greenish).

Brimpsfield     A Spotted Flycatcher on wires today. (Mark Grieve).

Quedgeley     A garden Lesser Whitethroat in Shelduck Road today. (Steve Pullen).

Newnham-on-Severn     A Cetti’s Warbler, a Sedge Warbler, Goldfinches, a Buzzard and a Whitethroat. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Forest of Dean     At Moseley Green a Great Spotted Woodpecker, Jays, a Buzzard, Chiffchaffs, Willow Warblers and Blackcaps. Also Small Heath and Speckled Wood butterflies. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Symonds Yat     At Yat Rock viewpoint the Peregrine pair and three young, a male Sparrowhawk, Buzzards, a Kingfisher, Swifts,House Martins and Swallows. Also a Club-tailed Dragonfly, Rose Chafers and Hummingbird Hawkmoths. (Chris & Phil Andrews). Pic by Phil.Club-tailed Dragonfly 030617
