Cleeve Hill     This morning two Corn Buntings singing along West Down. Also families of Spotted Flycatcher and Redstarts in West Wood and Tree Pipits singing in fields bordering the wood. Dozens of Marbled Whites in the fields between West Wood and Wontley Barn. (Chris Stott).

Gloucester     In Tewkesbury Road a male Green Woodpecker anting on the lawn at 2:10pm today. (David & Sandra Spicer).

Ashleworth Ham     A CE ringing session today caught 117 birds, including an adult Redstart, an adult female Grasshopper Warbler, 12 Sedge Warblers, five Blackcaps, 41 Whitethroats, a juvenile Lesser Whitethroat, 12 Chiffchaffs, six Reed Buntings and a juvenile Treecreeper. Also a Buzzard and an Oystercatcher heard. (Mervyn Greening, Mike Smart).

Cotswold Water Park East     At Pit 126: 4 four summer-plumaged Black-tailed Godwits, a Little Ringed Plover, a Common Sandpiper, eight Common Terns, two Little Egrets, 25 Lapwings on the sandbank and a Small Copper along the footpath. (John Durell).
