Barnsley Warren SSSI     This morning a female Sparrowhawk chasing Swallows, two Stock Doves, two Green Woodpeckers, a Redstart singing briefly and a female seen, a singing Willow Warbler, several singing Yellowhammers, three Bullfinches and flocks 20+ each of Linnets and Goldfinches. Around the area at least four pairs of Buzzards with begging young. Butterflies including several Chalkhill Blue near the Fosse Way, Small Skippers, a Small Heath, Gatekeepers and many Common Blues. Cleeve Hill     A pair of Yellowhammers and a Raven on the Masts butterfly reserve this afternoon. Also Chalkhill Blues, Small Copper and Dark Green Fritillary butterflies. (Duerden Cormack). Pic by Duerden.

WWT Slimbridge    A Goshawk circled over the centre at lunchtime and the adult CATTLE EGRET still around the grounds. (John Budd/Roberta Goodall).

Hartpury     At least five Spotted Flycatchers at Hartpury Orchard Centre today. (Steve French).

Standish     A steady swirling stream of at least 200 Swifts going over this morning from 9-9:30am with a general southwards drift. (Juliet Bailey/Paul Tyers).

Cheltenham     At Naunton Park a male Sparrowhawk consuming prey on the bird table. (Steve Brown).
