Berkeley shore     A Grasshopper Warbler in the new plantation on the N side of the power station at 11:30am. Two Arctic Terns upriver past the power station at 10:50am calling continually. Also five Whinchats, a Wheatear, a Reed Warbler and two Common Sandpipers. (Paul Taylor).

Frampton pools     This evening GREAT WHITE EGRET, four Spotted Flycatchers, four Green Sandpipers, six Little Egrets (2 juvs), ten Teal, three Water Rails and the adult Yellow-legged Gull still on the Sailing Lake. (Nick Goatman).

Gloucester     At Horsebere Brook Flood Storage Lake, two Buzzards, a Sparrowhawk, three Little Grebes, a Swallow, three Grey Herons, a Stock Dove, a Whitethroat and a Chiffchaff. At Barnwood, two Sparrowhawks soaring, calling to each other. (Mark Grieve).

Minsterworth Ham     A Hobby, a Green Sandpiper, two Spotted Flycatchers and four Redstarts today. (Andy Jayne).

Ashleworth Ham     Last of the 12 summer Constant Effort ringing sessions caught 145 birds, notable amongst them a Woodpigeon, six Swallows, two Redstarts, at least two Whinchats present, one of them caught, a Sedge Warbler, ten Whitethroats, six Blackcaps, 33 Chiffchaffs, 13 Willow Warblers, a Goldcrest, 24 Long-tailed Tits, a Goldfinch, four Bullfinches and two juvenile Reed Buntings.
