Symonds Yat     From Yat Rock viewpoint today the Peregrine pair, Buzzards, a Sparrowhawk, Ravens, Jays, four Bullfinches, Redwings, Long-tailed Tits, three Mandarins (1m,2f), two Pied Wagtails, a female Goosander, Coal Tits, a Kingfisher, a Tawny Owl calling, Cormorants and a Grey Heron. Other sightings included Red Admiral butterflies, Orange Ladybirds and Fallow Deer rutting. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Eastleach     A Hawfinch SSW over Eastleach Downs crossroads at midday. Also a Corn Bunting and a Lesser Redpoll in song. (Ian Ralphs).

Cotswold Water Park East     A Goldeneye on Pit 126 and 499 Tufted Ducks on Pit 125 this morning. (Ian Ralphs).

Nailsworth     A Hawfinch W over Forest Green this morning. (Francis Steuck).

Frampton pools     A GREAT WHITE EGRET, the adult Yellow-legged Gull, four Chiffchaffs, ten Redwings, seven Siskins, eight Lesser Redpolls, a Grey Wagtail, 55 Pied Wagtails, 16 Goldcrests, ten Reed Buntings and 38 Robins. (Nick Goatman).

Wotton-under-Edge     A Red Kite over today. (Paul Rich).

Forest of Dean     c15 Lesser Redpolls, a Stonechat, a Buzzard and a Red-legged Partridge at Crabtree Hill at 4pm. (Nat Roberts). At Cannop Ponds a male Dipper, five Mandarins (3m, 2f), 33 Tufted Ducks. At New Fancy View a Goshawk and at Linear Park, Cinderford 4+ Hawfinches. (Derek Hale). Pic by Derek.Dipper 141017

Cotswolds     At Hawling first thing a Barn Owl, a Kestrel, a Raven and two Roe Deer. At Great Barrington a Little Owl on the thatched hut at SP206138. At both sites several Red Kites drifting W. (Steve Brown).
