Cleeve Hill     Four RING OUZELS, 57+ Skylarks, 95+ Linnets, 35+ Redwings, three Bullfinches, a Jay, two Mistle Thrushes, two Stonechats, a Yellowhammer and a scattering of Blackbirds across the hill. (Mark Grieve).

Sharpness     A COMMON SCOTER flew N at 9:05am. (Geoff Moyser/Andy Jordan). A second-winter Mediterranean Gull flew upriver at 7:48am. (Ian Ralphs).

Frampton pools     The OSPREY still on Court Lake today. (Roy Widgery).

WWT Slimbridge     A Dark-bellied Brent Goose flew downriver at midday viewed from the Holden Tower. Also 15 GCRP Common Cranes, 12 Dunlins, seven Pochards, 12 Pintails, two Ruff, 450+ Greylags and four Avocets. (Tom Weston-McClung).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A pair of Mute Swans still with eight cygnets, at least 260 Greylags, eight Canada Geese, four Wigeon, 160 Teal, eight Shovelers, 11 Grey Herons, a Green Sandpiper and six Redwings over SW. (Mike Smart).

Cobney Meadows     A Sparrowhawk hunting and a Snipe on the old Parish Drain. (Mike Smart).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
