Forest of Dean At Speech House Arboretum car park a female Tawny Owl heard and two Ravens over. At Parkend cricket ground in Crown Lane six Hawfinches. At Cannop Ponds six Mandarins (3m, 3f), five Wigeon, 15 Tufted Ducks and c20 Siskins. At New Fancy View two Siskins, a male Bullfinch and a Buzzard. (Derek Hale).
Cambridge Two garden Hawfinches again at Ryalls Lane, today. Also of note, a male Brambling, a female Kingfisher fishing successfully, two male and two female Blackcaps, a Water Rail and c30 Fieldfares feeding on fallen Perry pears. (Ennis Jones).
Frampton pools A male Pintail and a Shelduck on Court Lake. Also around the pools 89 Tufted Ducks, 62 Gadwalls ,three Wigeon, five Shovelers, 37 Teal, eight Great Crested Grebe, a Little Grebe, 24 Mallards, 208 Coots, two Kingfishers, a Grey Wagtail and the adult Yellow-legged Gull still.
