Cotswold Water Park East     A drake FERRUGINOUS DUCK on Pit 125, Bowmoor Sailing Lake and also Pit 126 again today. A PINK-FOOTED GOOSE flew over Pit 126 with Greylags possibly landed on Pit 114. Also a female SCAUP and a Water Rail. (Duncan Dine/Jeremy Squire/Mark Dowie/Roger Gillespie/Peter Butler). A Barn Owl hunting at Pit 104 at 8am and 11 Goosanders (6m, 5f). (Duncan Dine). Cotswold Water Park West     The drake RING-NECKED DUCK still on Pit 16 today. (Roger Gillespie/Peter Butler). At Wickwater Lane a Barn Owl at 5pm (SU067952) flying from Wiltshire into Gloucestershire. (Roger Gillespie).

Harnhill     Two Grey Partridges at SP061002. (Roger Gillespie).

Frampton     The Red Breasted Goose back on Court Field with 150+ Barnacle Geese this morning prior to returning to the Trust. (Nick Goatman). Later on Court Lake a drake Mandarin, an Oystercatcher, the regular roosting Tawny Owl and 40+ Teal in the NE corner and three Treecreepers together. (MK).

WWT Slimbridge     The GLAUCOUS GULL from the Holden Tower Hide at 9am. (Mark Coller).

Forest of Dean     A LESSER SPOTTED WOODPECKER at Nagshead again today. (Tate Lloyd). A GREAT GREY SHRIKE at Russell’s Inclosure near Cannop ponds showing well between 10am and 1:30pm. (Thomas Winstone). Two Goshawks from New Fancy View. At Woorgreens Lake 18 Canada Geese, 22 Coots, male and female Teal, two Mute Swans, two Ravens, three Siskins, two Treecreepers, two Buzzards and a Great Spotted Woodpecker. Coombe Hill Meadows     This afternoon 14 Ruff, three Dunlins, two Oystercatchers, eight Snipe,  c250 Lapwings and a Golden Plover. (Ian Hull).

Winchcombe     Five Siskins (2m, 3f) on gardens feeders this morning. (Peter Rodgers).

About The Gloster Birder

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
