Frampton pools     Early morning c150 Swallows, c200 Sand Martins and two House Martins on the Sailing Lake. Also c10 Blackcaps and a Chiffchaff and three Willow Warblers. (Roy Bircher). Two CATTLE EGRETS still Court Lake island early morning. Also 100+ Sand Martins, a few Swallows, a Willow Warbler and a pair of Oystercatchers. (Nick Goatman). Birds at Splatt Bridge today included a male WHINCHAT, two Black-tailed Godwits, two Yellow Wagtails, a Tree Pipit, a Whitethroat, two Redstarts, and a large passage of Meadow Pipits, Linnets and Goldfinches. Walmore Common     5+ Yellow Wagtails today. (Ian Hull).

WWT Slimbridge     Two Yellow Wagtails at Holden Tower and six Yellow Wagtails at the Rushy. (Les Ditchburn).

Forest of Dean     A FIRECREST in the Speech House area today. (Ian Hull).

Quedgeley     Six Hawfinches (2m, 4f) in the garden this morning, also ten Greenfinches. Also a Siskin this afternoon. (Paul Masters).

Newnham-on-Severn     A garden Hawfinch today, a garden first. Also four Swallows and a Sparrowhawk today. (David Smith).

Cotswold Water Park East     At Pit 125 eight COMMON SCOTERS, four Great Crested Grebes, two Shelducks and a Red Kite. At Whelford Pools Pits 111 and Pit 111a birds included 31 Tufted Ducks, seven Great Crested Grebes, ten Red Crested Pochard, four Greylags, nine Shovelers, 27 Cormorants, six Buzzards, eight Blackcaps, a Willow Warbler, nine Chiffchaffs, male and female Reed Buntings, two Green Woodpeckers, two Kingfishers, a Sparrowhawk and four House Martins. My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
