Forest of Dean A GOLDEN ORIOLE in the cherry trees along Spruce Ride, at the nearest point to Speech House lake around SO 62715 11424, and further SE along the ride. It was singing quite frequently from 11am until midday at least and again from 3:30-4:20pm but largely silent after that and not seen again by dusk. It is very hard to see but was seen in flight a couple of times and a couple of very brief views perched. There is no phone signal in this area. (John & Viv Phillips).
WWT Slimbridge On the Tack Piece two SPOONBILLS, eight Little Egrets, two Green Sandpipers and a Greenshank. (Slimbridge Sightings).
Frampton On Court Lake this evening a GREAT WHITE EGRET, a Little Egret, three Oystercatchers, 75 Greylags, 89 Mute Swans, 137 Barnacle Geese and 59 Canada Geese. (Nick Goatman).
Quedgeley A Peregrine carrying a pigeon over Quedgeley bypass at 8am. (Gareth Jones).
Dursley Two Red Kites flew over W at 11:58am and another Red Kite headed towards Dursley down the Uley valley. (Geoff Moyser).
Arlingham This evening two Little Owls at 9:20pm one at SO718106 at Overton near Arlingham and then another at SO727098 beside Overton Farm, both perched on telegraph poles. (Paddy Doyle).
