Forest of Dean     The GOLDEN ORIOLE showed briefly at Spruce Ride today at SO628114 at 12:45pm but remained silent from 12:30 to 1:45pm. (Richard Mundy). Between 4– 8pm no Oriole but a Goshawk, a Spotted Flycatcher and three Hawfinches. (Terry Fenton).

Lydney     At Lydney harbour this morning, 18 Goldfinches, ten Greenfinches, three Swallows, a House Martin, two Blackcaps, a Sedge Warbler, a Chiffchaff, two Pied Wagtails and a Skylark. (Iain Crawford).

Tewkesbury     A singing Cuckoo on the far side the Ham this morning near the weir. Also Curlews, Skylarks, Swallows and Swifts. (Jeff Clarke).

Leigh Meadows     A singing Reed Warbler in a small reedbed where the new River Chelt meanders are beside the A38. (Mike Smart/Juliet Bailey).
