Cotswold Water Park West At Shorncote Reedbed birds today included a GREAT WHITE EGRET on Pit 85a, a Marsh Harrier flew towards Pit 84, two Kestrels, two Buzzards, 17 Gadwalls, two Tufted Ducks, three Water Rails heard, a Little Grebe heard, a Green Sandpiper, 35 Lapwings, three Grey Herons, 12+ Goldfinches, five Swallows, four House Martins, two Reed Buntings and a Meadow Pipit. Coombe Hill Meadows This afternoon 20+ Yellow Wagtails, two Whinchats, six Green Sandpipers, three Little Ringed Plovers including a chick at the Long Pool, 30+ Swallows and two Chiffchaffs.
