Purton An immature/female GOLDEN ORIOLE at the timber ponds at 8:25am calling and seen in flight. It flew into the Willows at the back of the ponds. Also c50 Blackcaps, a Spotted Flycatcher, 15 Chiffchaffs, six Lesser Whitethroat, three Whitethroat, two Willow Warblers, two Yellow Wagtails, a Garden Warbler, a Reed Warbler, a Hobby, a Common Sandpiper, a Whimbrel and a Black-tailed Godwit. Vismig included eight Wigeon with a Pintail, three Grey Wagtails, two Tree Pipits, 90 Swallows and 30 House Martins. (Francis Steuck).

Symonds Yat From Yat Rock viewpoint today the Peregrine pair, a Goshawk, six Buzzards, a Raven, a Grey Heron, Swallows, House Martins, two Stock Doves, a Little Egret and a Marsh Tit. Other sightings included Speckled Wood, Large White and Holly Blue butterflies, two Bank Voles and two Fallow Deer. (Chris & Phil Andrews).
