Cleeve Hill A juvenile HEN HARRIER S of, and over Cleeve Hill trig point at 1:30pm. It was trying its luck amongst Linnet/finch flocks and being mobbed by corvids. (Harvey Sherwood).
WWT Slimbridge From Zeiss hide at 11:35am a ringtail HEN HARRIER was hunting over the reeds on the river’s edge for 10 minutes. A female MERLIN chased a small bird for 5-6 mins over the reedbeds on the river edge and was lost to view over the river. Also two Peregrines, one on post with a kill and a male Sparrowhawk. Eight White-fronted Geese on the Tack Piece and six from the Holden Tower. The Bewick’s Swan was with the captive ones on Big Pen and two Grey Wagtails in the Rushy. (Alan Baxter). Two adult Whooper Swans on the Bottom New Piece flood, viewable from Zeiss hide or Kingfisher hide, earlier that were on the Tack Piece. (Slimbridge Sightings).
Frampton pools This morning two Crossbills over the Sailing Lake with eight Siskins, also 100+ Redwings, 20+ Fieldfares, four Curlews and 100+ Woodpigeons. (Nick Goatman).

Cotswold Water Park West At Shorncote Reedbeds three GREAT WHITE EGRETS, 3+ Water Rails heard, a Green Sandpiper, six Snipe, a Sparrowhawk, a Buzzard, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, 30+ Skylarks, five Meadow Pipits, a Grey Wagtail, 20 Fieldfares, five Redwings, four Song Thrushes, 5+ Cetti’s Warblers singing, 6+ Chiffchaffs, a pair of Bullfinches, 30+ Goldfinches and 15 Reed Buntings.
