Forest of Dean     A LONG-EARED OWL ringed at Crabtree Hill today, also a juvenile male Sparrowhawk. (Rob Husbands).

Over 100 Pied Wagtails coming in to roost at the large Co-op store in Cinderford this evening. (Ed Drewitt).

Cleeve Hill     A late RING OUZEL near the Washpool, very wary due to disturbance, located by call but mostly seen in flight. (Dave Pearce).

Epney     A Barn Owl along Castle Lane between Epney and Parkend Bridge at 10:50pm. (Paul Masters/MK).

WWT Slimbridge     The Bewick’s Swan still on Big Pen next to the Visitor Centre this morning. From Zeiss hide as the tide rises a Ruff, two Redshanks, 45 Dunlins and 175 Golden Plovers. Also two adult unringed Common Cranes. Two Cetti’s Warblers calling and showing well at times from Kingfisher hide. (Ian Hull/Dot Jones/Les Ditchburn).

Frampton     The Great White Egret still on Court Lake today. (Roberta Goodall).

Cotswold Water Park West     A Great White Egret, 150+ Lapwings, 50+ Wigeon and 40+ Tufted Ducks at Pit 87 today. (Trevor & Sue Clayson).

Cirencester     A Red Kite over the Bowling Green area of Cirencester today at 1:15pm. (Ken Cservenka).

Longney     A Little Owl along the Severn Way by the orchard, on the ivy covered stone building at SO752137 today. (Phil Pope).

Aldsworth     30 Goldfinches, four Bullfinches, ten Chaffinches, 11 House Sparrows, 20 Greenfinches, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers on feeders at Cocklebarrow Farm cottages. (Martin Farrow).

Gloucester     At Robinswood Hill from Forest View Road mid afternoon birds included two Goldcrests, two Green Woodpeckers, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two Jays, a Buzzard and seven Goldfinches. (John Fletcher).

Peddington     A Peregrine and a Kestrel just below the deer park near Berkeley. Also several Green Woodpeckers and 15-20 Fieldfares today. (Andrew Jones).

Symonds Yat     The albino Carrion Crow still present today, but harder to find. It was in conifers and also on and around the island by the rapids. (Angela Carswell).

Fostons Ash     c50 Golden Plovers in flight near Fostons Ash Inn on the Birdlip road this morning. (Michael Cook).

Cranham     Two male Bramblings and a Yellowhammer with c20 Chaffinches today. Nearby a Kestrel and two Buzzards at Upton St Leonards and Moorhen ran across the road on the Portway just before Watery Lane. (Michael Cook).

Hardwicke     A Grey Heron stalking one of the balancing ponds in Quadrant Way at 8:10am but moved on by several Magpies and two Jays in the Oaks opposite. (Michael Cook).
