WWT Slimbridge The Bewick’s Swan still on Big Pen next to the Visitor Centre this morning. From Zeiss hide as the tide rises a Ruff, two Redshanks, 45 Dunlins and 175 Golden Plovers. Gloucester At Robinswood Hill from Forest View Road mid afternoon birds included two Goldcrests, two Green Woodpeckers, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two Jays, a Buzzard and seven Goldfinches. (John Fletcher).

Hardwicke A Grey Heron stalking one of the balancing ponds in Quadrant Way at 8:10am but moved on by several Magpies and two Jays in the Oaks opposite. (Michael Cook).
