Frampton     A SHORT-EARED OWL from Splatt Bridge at 4pm. (Eric Palmer).

Cotswold Water Park West    At Pit 12 late afternoon five Yellow-legged Gulls in the roost. Also eight Goldeneyes and a Crossbill over calling. (Mark Dowie).

Forest of Dean     At Woorgreens Lake at 12:15pm five pairs of Goosanders (5m, 5f) and nearby 20+ Crossbills feeding in Larch trees. (Mike Ingleby). Six Hawfinches seen near Sling. (Frank Williams).

Symonds Yat     From Yat Rock viewpoint today the Peregrine pair and another adult Peregrine nearby, two Red Kites, a male and female Sparrowhawk, Buzzards, a Goshawk, two female Goosanders, Ravens, Redwings, two Grey Herons, a Mistle Thrush, a Marsh Tit and a Great Spotted Woodpecker. Winstone    4+ Bramblings with Chaffinches this morning, under beeches near Jackbarrow Farm between Park Corner and Winstone. (Jon Mercer).

Longney     At the old orchards early afternoon around SO754137 birds included 24 Fieldfares, 18 House Sparrows, 28 Goldfinches, seven Long-tailed Tits, a Green Woodpecker and a Greenfinch. (John Fletcher).

Woodmancote    A minimum of five pairs of Ravens displaying over woods today. (Duncan Dine).

Whitminster     A report of a possible Bittern low over Fromebridge heading S today. (Sharon Burrows).

Ozleworth     40+ Linnets near Goose Green at ST791948 this morning. (Paul Sutton).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
