Cotswold Water Park East     The GREAT NORTHERN DIVER still on Pit 126 today. At Whelford pools two drake Goldeneyes and a male Goosander. (Dot Jones).

Frampton     At 3:45pm three CATTLE EGRETS, a Great White Egret, 11 Little Egrets, two Grey Herons and 14 Cormorants on Frampton Court Lake. Also the regular roosting Tawny Owl. A SHORT-EARED OWL hunting at Splatt Bridge at 2:30pm. Also a female Stonechat. (MK/Mike Hails). Three CATTLE EGRETS flew over the house towards Saul horse paddocks at 8:30am. (Gordon Hodgson). WWT Slimbridge     The Dark-bellied Brent with Canada Geese at the Royal Drift end of the Dumbles again today. (Roberta Goodall). A Goshawk over the centre flew towards the Tack Piece. (Duerden Cormack).

Forest of Dean     A Raven and c13 male Mandarins at Woorgreens Lake today. (Chris Keeling).

Gloucester     70 Magpies flew into roost at Sudmeadow this evening. (Andy Jayne).

Dursley     c300 Chaffinches but only one Brambling confirmed in Twinberrow Woods today. (Phil Pope).

Quedgeley    Six Snipe feeding in the open in a rough field at Riversmead Farm, Sims Lane at 11am. Also a pair of Bullfinches, 15 Goldfinches and a Great Spotted Woodpecker in Rea Lane. (MK).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
