Nailsworth A female Grey Wagtail in the garden again. A Little Egret flew over the town. At Dunkirk Mill Ponds Reserve (SO846003) 23 Black-headed Gulls, a Grey Heron, 16 Mallards, a Little Grebe, two Moorhens and a Dipper on the adjacent Nailsworth Stream. (Jake King).
Ashleworth Ham This afternoon birds included 37 Snipe, 135 Lapwings, a Canada Goose, 164 Teal, 131 Wigeon, five Pintails, seven Shovelers, two Grey Herons, nine Fieldfares, six Long tailed Tits, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and a Buzzard. (John Fletcher). Pic by John.
Hampen A Barn Owl alongside the A436 near the Brockhampton turn at 7:15am. (Steve Brown).
Frampton This morning the roosting Tawny Owl, a Great White Egret at Court Lake and the Yellow-legged Gull at the Sailing Lake. At Splatt Bridge a Stonechat and a fly-over Little Egret from the field gate; also c10 Shelducks, c10 Curlews and two Green Sandpipers at the reedbed and flash NW of the bridge. (Andy & Sue Gibbons).
Saul This afternoon two CATTLE EGRETS and c8 Little Egrets at the W side of the field W of the public footpath from the Fretherne road (viewed from the middle one of three green kissing-gates on the W side of the lake). (Andy & Sue Gibbons).
