Westbury-on-Severn     The YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER at Westbury Sewage works again at SO716133 today. (Shane Long).

Forest of Dean    18 Crossbills and three Hawfinches at Parkend, two Goshawks from New Fancy View and a Marsh Tit and Mandarins at Cannop ponds this morning. (Shane Long).

Longney    Five adult WHOOPER SWANS at Longney Crib, 1/2 mile NW of Epney again today at SO759113 viewable from the little car park at SO762116 or from the Anchor Inn at Epney. (Paul Masters/John Fletcher). Also this morning a MARSH HARRIER beyond the far bank at Longney Cribb, two Gadwalls, 70 Canada Geese and two Kestrels. (John Fletcher).

Cotswold Water Park West     At Shorncote Reedbed two Water Rails down the stream, a pair of Reed Buntings and at least five Cetti’s Warblers. (Chris Snook). Pic by Chris.

Frampton pools     An Oystercatcher, a male Stonechat, two Yellowhammers, two Great White Egrets, two adult male Goldeneyes, two Lesser Redpolls, five Treecreepers, a Pochard, a Shoveler, 31 Gadwalls, 67 Tufted Ducks and 78 Lapwings. (Nick Goatman). Also two Little Egrets, a pair of Teal and a Raven. (MK).

Ham, Berkeley    At Park Farm two Great White Egrets and a Little Egret in a roadside field. (Andrew Jones).

Berkeley Pill     A Kingfisher near the road bridge and a Skylark singing from a field near the levee. (Harry Mac).

Coombe Hill Meadows   This morning three Mute Swans, 100 Canada Geese, eight Gadwalls, nine Curlews left early, two Oystercatchers, two Ruff, a Sparrowhawk, a Cetti’s Warbler singing from the canal by the first footbridge and at least three Reed Buntings singing. (Mike Smart). Also 20 Pintails and 100+ Wigeon. (Ian Hull).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
